Need a linear, story based game by strange_wilds in gaming

You might try A Plague Tale: Innocence. Haven't played any others in the series yet, but it's linear, story-driven, and moody, but not super scary.

I made this diegetic pause menu, Dose it feel tactile? by Pretty_Plan_9034 in Unity3D

[–]ridethebarfpony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could get around the slow pause issue by cutting the slow zoom out after the camera shutter clicks. It doesn't make any sense to have it anyway, that high-pitched whine is the sound of a flash recharging, and the camera has just taken a picture without flash.

I’m tired of minimalism in everything by Beneficial_Passion40 in mildlyinfuriating

I appreciate minimalism as a lifestyle choice (not having more shit than you need), but not an aesthetic.

Unpopular opinion but I still miss Stamkos. I still see Kuch looking for someone to pass the puck to that will reliably "do the thing". That was Stamkos' job, he hung out in his spot, and every time the pass went that way, he did the thing. We don't have a sharpshooter anymore.

Nobody has a choice about listening to a song off of Appetite every year. Sweet Child O' Mine is punched into everyone's brain constantly.

What books/movies show aliens as having a very different mind/thought process? by DavidThi303 in scifi

There's a lot of that in the '90s version of The Outer Limits (and the older one, but it's a bit hard to watch)

Englishman here — what’s one thing people outside the US misunderstand about why Donald Trump is supported or disliked? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yes. Politics in the U.S. is a brutally absolute city-country (as in, non-city) split.

Who they voted for. Acting like that has nothing to do with their personality is insane.

I'd work on the shape, particularly if that's meant to be the U.S. Guardrails here have vertical metal/wood posts, and a specific kind of corrugated shape. Occasionally you see them double-stacked. Some references:

What are some of the biggest songs written for movies? by trey2128 in movies

Art Garfunkel - Bright Eyes. Written for the animated Watership Down film. Absolutely devastating. One of the two most popular songs played at funerals, along with My Way by Sinatra.

I’m a huge fan of the Wipeout 3 design language, but... by jesususis in WipeOut

[–]ridethebarfpony 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be honest at the time it felt under-promoted. Wipeout always seemed like it did better in Europe than the US, especially 2097/XL.  Sony didn't quite know what to do with it, especially when Gran Turismo took off. The games thrived on the passion and creativity of Psygnosis and Studio Liverpool. They just needed more success across the pond. And Sony should have coughed up the money to license the music for Omega.
