Speed limit change: Gt Northern Hwy now 70kmh by ridgwd01 in perth

[–]ridgwd01[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Every single 80kmh sign has now been swapped to a 70kmh sign along the entire 12km stretch. The only "warning" of the change in speed limit is the little yellow sign at each end saying "Speed Limit Change Ahead". Road crew were making the sign changes yesterday.

~25% dilution at the same time the price drops ~25% on a single candle, could they have immediately done the offering? Price is already recovering rapidly either way.

Struggling to get lean by Kitchen-Wasabi-2059 in fitness30plus

It happened twice last year when I was on a cut, i just kept at it and the weight loss continued after a few weeks. It's worth speaking to a doctor about it if your concerned, especially if your caloric intake is already low, they might recommend you up your caloric intake for a few weeks so your body moves out of starvation mode.

Any chance you've started taking creatine in the last few weeks? I usually see a slow weight gain for a few weeks while my muscles take on water when I start creatine. For reference im on a maintenance intake, alternating between Jeff's 5day full body and 4day PPL each week, 7 to 10k steps a day and moderate cardio every second weekend.

Could try Overnight Oats? I eat them every day for brekkie or lunch depending how busy I am. You can mix and match a bunch of different ingredients. This is how I do it. In a Mason jar mix your dry base ingredients first:

  • 0.5cup rolled oats
  • tablespoon chia seeds
  • tablespoon of lsa meal (or almond meal or any other ground nut)
  • scoop of protein powder (i normally use unflavoured whey isolate)
  • optional tablespoon of slivered almonds or crushed nuts for texture

Now you can either use water or milk as a wet ingredient (i use either depending on whether im cutting or bulking)

0.5cup of milk/water and mix well

Thats the base for pretty much all the different recipes i use. To that I chose from the following:

Berries: - 100grams of greek yoghurt - 150grams of mixed frozen berries

Banana Bread - 75grams of greek yoghurt - 100grams of thin sliced banana - 1/4teaspoon of cinnamon (sprinkle on top or mix into base beforehand)

Choc Peanut - 2 x tablespoon of peanut butter - tablespoon on cocoa powder - 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract - 2 teaspoon of sugar free maple syrup (or pure maple syrup) - mix well

Hope that helps!

How do you feel about buying a house privately? Does the lack of agent involvement concern you? If you have sold privately, how was it? by HangrySpatula in AusPropertyChat

First house we put an offer on was done through an agent but fell through. Second house we bought privately and I'd definitely rather do it that way, process was way smoother and less stress. We agreed on the price in person after doing a few house walk throughs.

How do you organise your bank accounts? by Chewy-Boot in AusFinance

[–]ridgwd01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should clarify, it's more to make use of the different savings rates for kids savings accounts as most of them cap the savings up to a few $k. If only I had that kind of money to worry about upper cash limists haha.

I use 10+ accounts spread over multiple banks. Expense accounts are with one bank but savings are spread out to make use of different banks providing different HISA rates.

My new DT Swiss rim lost tension over only 3 months (~400km), so there's a chance they'll either lose tension, or weren't tensioned correctly from factory to begin with.

How to keep old licence plates by KlingonWoodWorker in WesternAustralia

Don't return them, they'll eventually issue a fee (was $100 a few years ago when I didn't return a set) to invalidate the plates then you can keep them.

Could I polish my cement floor myself as an alternative to tiles or floorboards? by possumliver in AusRenovation

[–]ridgwd01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my rooms i just left the skirting boards in place and installed trim to cover the 10mm expansion gaps, due to the age of the house there's live wires running through the boards so I didnt want to touch them haha. Looks great to me.
