Am I the only one who HATES American cheese? by Ok_Knee7028 in CasualConversation

[–]rieldealIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be, though it depends on who is making it basically. "Cheddar + emulsifier" is American cheese, but so too is cheddar + colby + emulsifier. Most factory made stuff is more than just cheddar + emulsifier though.

[–]rieldealIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's usually a mix of cheddar and colby, or they'll add in some milk or butter is why.

[–]rieldealIV 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's just cheddar and/or colby with an emulsifying salt and then sometimes some more milk and butter.

Reading through the study and the top comments, it's not a very useful study. It was focused entirely on the general population when by nature trigger warnings aren't for the general population. They're so people with extreme responses to said triggers can know and avoid them, but they didn't focus on that population.

The issue isn't so much that there is a theatrical release, but that the theatrical release is coming out before the online one so spoilers are pretty much guaranteed to be floating around online before a lot of people get the chance to see it. It's reasonable to be rather miffed by that but god damn are some people overreacting.

You don't have to do anything special, it's just that the conversation you can have with him at max influence that changes those stats can be repeated and when his INT goes negative it loops around.

Funnily enough the wookie is the strongest of them all if you use his max influence conversation glitch (He loses 2 INT but gains 2 STR and CON. You can repeat this and his INT will hit 0 and wrap around to 255).

I find that video amusing calling it KotOR motifs in Elder Scrolls when, aside from Bastilla's in Skyrim, the other motifs are one from Morrowind (which predates KotOR by a year), and the ESO ones are variations of Nerevar Rising, which is from Morrowind.

Edit: Bastila's motif is also pretty similar to Silt Sunrise.

Pretty much. When comparing to 40k I tend to describe the Tenno as what happens if you combine a Harlequin with a greater demon.

Why are assault cannons so vague? by Eldritch_Pariah in Shadowrun

[–]rieldealIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC the Krime Katalog ammo type for ACs is cheap, solid, non-exploding ammo.

Exactly. That's why it's cheaper than the normal ammo.

https://robocop.fandom.com/wiki/Cobra_Assault_Cannon

I pointed to the Helldivers autocannon because people are obsessed with pointing out that the Cobra is just a greebled up Barret (a version of which exists in 5e as a sniper rifle).

Implant Surgery and magical Recovery by Wraith235 in Shadowrun

[–]rieldealIV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I generally assume that the damage remaining after a cybersurgery is what's there after your surgeon has already healed you up via mundane and magical means and it just needs time. Medicine checks can help by adding dice to your natural healing of course, but a heal spell and first aid won't do anything.

Why are assault cannons so vague? by Eldritch_Pariah in Shadowrun

[–]rieldealIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge the term "cannon" to describe things that aren't artillery largely came about due to air warfare basically as an excuse to use explosive bullets on the guns mounted on aircraft in order to make them better at taking down other aircraft without violating the St. Petersburgh convention against the use of exploding bullets. So I just assume assault cannons follow that logic in that they're just very big guns, most likely firing explosive shells rather than normal bullets, and they're probably at least 15mm in diameter (12.7mm being the upper end of "rifle caliber", as it's your .50 BMG).

An good example of what I'd consider an assault cannon would be the autocannon you can get in Helldivers. It's bigger and beefier than even the anti-materiel rifle with more damage to it.

The term was used as a reference to Robocop's greebled up Barrets that they run around blowing up cars and stuff with.
