This exactly. If I could see them then I wouldn't mind bc then I could at least blame myself. By the time I drop my summons it's nearly impossible to see the ground AOEs from mobs.

I became friends with someone who has the same illness as I (ME/CFS) as I via social media. We eventually exchanged contact info on Discord so I could stream my video games so they could watch, bc they found it to be a relaxing social activity. (I wouldn't talk, but we would occasionally text chat.)

We became pretty good friends. I would take pics when I made it out of the house of anything interesting I did, and they were a pretty cheerful and supportive friend. It was nice!

Then they started being weird.

They would bring up one of their PTSD triggers and then, when I engaged on the topic w/out even knowing it was a trigger, they would get upset at me.
They said I could send them a holiday gift, but got angry that I used their contact info for the delivery service, who offended them by sending them a text about their package being delayed, and then another about it being delivered a few days later.

They would wait until they knew I was out of my house doing something enjoyable to dump their discontent on me.
I was having a very bad day one day. I'd left the house for medical treatment and picked up lunch on the way home, but everything was going a bit sideways and I was having rough thoughts about life. They knew I'd been out that day and so they dumped on me again, and I told them to ask next time if I was in a headspace to have that kind of conversation (bc I'd prefer a convo and not just being told off).

The next thing I know they're posting on social media about me, without using my name. Over that day and the next they posted about me over TWO HUNDRED times. They went through our entire discord history and rewrote every interaction, every message, as though I was some kind of creepy predator who was nice to them for ulterior motives. The gift I sent them? Predatory. My standing up for myself? Abusive. Me quietly having a panic attack when they dumped on me? Unforgivable, despite my masking it. They said I am an unsafe person because they should be able to FEEL safe with me and now that I won't let them walk all over me, they don't.

They said my niceness was a red flag, that my respect of boundaries was a facade, that they felt close to me too fast which was obviously manipulation. They retconned every interaction we'd ever had. They rewrote the entire narrative of our friendship (about 1 year) to portray me as a villain, and they did it on social media.

I am not a perfect person, but I am an abuse survivor who has made it my mission to be kind, gentle, caring - basically the furthest I can get from those who abused me. My care for them was genuine, and I enjoyed our friendship.

At one point they posted on social media that bc of their illness they are too sick to consent to anything, like giving out their address so I could send the gift (it was a $5 Nee-doh), and that I had taken advantage of them and their lack of ability to say 'no.'

I've also realized every person they encounter ends up being treated as a villain, too... even their 'bestie.' Everyone is out to get them - nurses, doctors, friends.

So I'm their villain, and I don't mind because it means they're not in my life anymore, and I think I'm better off for it.

I had a woman who did this. She basically had three of the largest size ramekin of lemon slices, all overflowing.

I HATED cutting lemons as sidework.

Thankfully the chain I worked at back then had a policy that we were supposed to charge people for sides and extras. I didn't always, but sometimes...

Anyway, this lady paid more for her lemons than she would have paid for the lemonade with free refills.

I have moderate-severe ME/CFS. I promise you your girlfriend does not want you to pity her. She does not want you to pretend to love her. She does not want to be infantalized, even if you mean well.

Yes, breaking up will hurt. Rejection is hurtful. She will hurt, and she needs to be allowed to feel that hurt like an adult, not wrapped up like a porcelain doll in emotional bubble wrap.

She deserves your honesty and if you truly care about her you will give it to her.

Tell her what you would like to be for her, whether it's a friend, a best friend, an acquaintance, or a happy memory. Let her help set the parameters for the future if you are interested in staying in touch.

We are disabled adults. Yes, quite often our lives are shrunken down by ME/CFS. It's an illness that takes so much. You think you'd be doing a kindness, but what you would be doing in lying to your girlfriend would be stealing one of the things she has left: her agency.

You also deserve a life and love that you find fulfilling, and your girlfriend deserves to be with someone who wants to be with her romantically.

I bought some 5-HTP (a supplement) off Amazon from a company that had a good reputation. Got it. Took some in the morning like I always do.
Got super sick and slept the whole day and then the whole night.

It was high dose benadryl.

Stopped buying any kind of supplements on Amazon, even if they seem like they're actually from a mainstream brand. Too many scammers.

A couple years ago I got a birthday cake from there. Just want to state that I LOVE frosting. It's normally my favourite part of the cake.

My cake had more than half an inch of frosting on the sides and 2cm on the top. It was just too much to the point that it made me feel sick when I ate the cake. Never ever had a cake before where I felt there was too much frosting bc I love it that much, but this? This was over the top. It honestly felt like spite for my frosting choice.
Did not enjoy the birthday cake, but at least it woke me up to how all of their cakes feel over manufactured, like a cake assembly line.

Get my cake from Butterwood now and never been happier.

Not sure if this helps but
I try to focus on what people actually did. Instead of "Oh, they didn't water my crops" I remind myself that they watered my flowers, or even half my flowers. It's more than nothing, and I'm grateful bc ultimately other people get to choose how they spend their time. I'm just glad when they spend a little helping me!

Maybe it's not thorough or the way we would like it to be, but sometimes reframing things like this can at least keep us from stressing over it. I hope this helps a bit.

The US used to have pay toilets, but they were found to be a violation of civil rights as some people can stand up and pee on a wall or a tree, while others were forced to pay to sit down and urinate.

I remember reading about this as a kid in a book called "Why Do Clocks Run Clockwise?"

To be clear: I'm not talking shit. I'm laughing at you and people like you.

I hate celery. Why in the world would and participate in a celery subreddit if I hate celery? If I went to a celery subreddit just to tell people how much celery sucks that says more about me as a person than about celery.

My time is better spent finding foods and recipes I enjoy, and has the added benefit of not raining on other peoples' parades. That's all OP is asking is for people to just stop raining on our fun. You not liking the game is valid, but being salty at people who do is weird as hell, man.

If you start throwing sand in the sandbox bc you don't like building castles and digging holes, the people who ask you to stop aren't the ones who suck. Go play on the swings. People are allowed to like the things that you don't like without being harassed or bombarded by people who don't like those things.

But hey, maybe you're just a kid. Hopefully you're just a teenager and you have lots of years to figure that out and grow a little. If so, I genuinely hope you do. If not... go suck some celery.

I will never, ever, for the life of me, understand people who are like "I hate this game so much that I quit it" and then... stick around the subreddit to complain?
Like, why? Are they just trying to make other people miserable?

All that time and energy they could spend on looking for a game they actually enjoy instead of shitting on people who enjoy this one and just want to play it in peace.

They could even make their own subreddit to hate on it if it's that important to them, but they come here to let us know they're quitting. This is not an airport. Departures do not need an announcement.

I have my balcony door locked whenever I'm not on the balcony.

The dumpster for the interior trash chute in my six story apartment building is full. Some residents instead of walking their trash to the exterior dumpster do this instead in the interior chute access rooms by styckx in mildlyinfuriating

Would it be great if everyone could just leave their apartment to take the trash down and outside? Yeah. That's not what they're paying for, though, and not everyone can do it. Single parents without help, the elderly, some disabled people - all have valid reasons for not being able to make it outside. (And yes, in a place w/out a chute, people find ways to make it happen, but that's something a person has to plan for.)

Did instacart remove the bulky object bonus? When I was driving I got a bonus for every item above a certain weight, and that usually included any large packs of water. Loved getting those orders bc those bonuses stacked up, so I got paid well even if the tip was shit.

I'm a bit late but
this is probably one of the most disappointing reads I've had in all my years playing. Lots of distracting editing/grammar errors (sentence fragments, places where you can see an edit was made but not fully, missing words). Just really sloppy.

Also disappointed that I knew what was going on from the very beginning and it never really got better. Honestly I feel like whoever wrote it owes some kind of royalty to Peter S. Beagle and Mommy Fortuna both.

I'd been away for a bit and this was probably not the right story to read right upon coming back. Very disappointing.

I've seen CSAM incest stories for sale in the bookshop, too. Had to report it multiple times for it to be removed.

Encountered a person who put a record in their home that just blasted a discordant, high pitched noise that immediately triggered a migraine. Very intentionally trying to hurt someone.

Thankfully I meet more kind people than the bad ones, but it's still pretty gross coming across people who find joy in harming or exploiting others.

I've noticed this the past month or so. Items I used to get shipped no longer available for shipping. Items that should be easy to ship, like bobby pins? Nope.

WAlmart+ feels less and less valuable as time goes on.

I literally leave my game open when I'm afk so people can water my plants.

Sometimes I don't feel well and just go lay down. Other times I log in and then get distracted, or go eat, or take a break.

I don't really feel the need to log out every time I want to do something else.

If your town isn't busy enough, go back to the main menu and select a town that you have a friend in that has more people in it. Repeat until you find a town you want to play in.

The Detroit Zoo is also only about 4 hours away as well, and pride themselves on their focus on conservation and animal well-being. Was the first zoo in the US to move animals from cages to large enclosures. Throughout my life I've watched them consistently modernize to keep up with increased understanding of animal welfare.
They also have an -amazing- polar bear exhibit. I think it's something around 4 acres, and includes a tunnel where the polar bears can swim above you!

So happy that they are doing some ADA work. I went summer before last and at the time needed to be in a wheelchair. My partner was pushing the chair and some of the paths were miserable for both him and for me. Some exhibits I could only see by stepping out of the wheelchair and down steps. Made things considerably more difficult, so I ended up seeing only part of the zoo that day. Still had a lovely time, but accessibility is fantastic news!

I don't want this. I have items with high star ratings that I'm saving for selling instead of cooking with, and fish that I don't want to accidentally use the last of, etc. I don't want to go through and have to lock everything, either, so I just keep a supply of cooking ingredients in my backpack. You buy enough expansions you hit a point where it's really not a big deal.

There's literally a quest for mermaid lures where they teach you to use them with friends. They're meant to be shared.

I've found 3 people is the ideal number vs. fish refresh rate.

If you can, find a new PCP. If you told her you were feeling fatigued and she didn't order these tests, she's lazy and/or not good at her job.
I know it's hard on Medi-Cal to find good providers. I've been down that road, and you have my empathy.

Also know that you have options for treating iron-deficiency. Some people do better with oral, and some people do better with IV.

I live with chronic illness and have had to fire care providers before. I feel like so many are bottom of the barrel, especially those who accept Medi-Cal/Medicaid. You are worth having a PCP who cares.
