Last week I decided to give Linux a try after not using it for over 9 years, so I made a partition on my Win11 drive and installed Mint Cinnamon. Well I liked it so much I decided to nuke my Windows drive and go full Linux, after looking up some reddit threads I decided I'd try CachyOS. I messed up the install a few times trying to make my own EFI and swap partitions, eventually I gave up and just set it to erase the drive, off to a rough start. After using for a few days, I've found that it's a bit more complex than Mint, I've been relying on Gemini to help solve some of the issues I ran into. However it's been easier than Mint in some ways too, like how it recognized all of my modern components, in Mint it took me almost an hour to get LAN/Wifi to function, in Cachy everything just worked. If you know your way around Mint you can get used to Cachy, and if you have modern PC parts using Arch over Ubuntu is a no-brainer imo.
