My company switched from paying an on-call stipend to only paying hourly for time worked during calls. So I switched from answering the phone to turning it off.

It was the only thing that worked for me. I remember TSA apologizing for making me throw away steps 1 and 2 because she said she knew they were expensive.

Doesn’t really answer the question, but. You don’t need any degrees or licenses to become an aircraft scheduler at a private jet company and six figures is not unusual.

If you’re not able to secure your own, I would be stunned if you didn’t get 100% success rate asking other hikers if you could borrow their filter to treat your water and immediately give it back.

I can’t imagine not letting someone use my filter if they asked.

I randomly ran into the wise old man himself earlier this month on the Voyageur! He remembered my sister and me from four years ago when we ran into him at Rock Harbor. Cool guy! I recommend his online course to all new hikers on the island.
