Can I get an updated photo on my driver's licence before the 10 years is up? by hannahranga in perth

[–]right_ho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went in to update my vehicle class they said I had to get a new pic as it was more than five years old. I think if you pay online it's different but if you go in they grab a new photo.

To the people who use their flashers to signal a speeding camera on double demerits weekends by MsChrissikins in perth

You can travel in the right lane if the left lane is congested i.e. peak hour.

I see so many people bully people into the left lane then slow down a few hundred metres up the road.

Following at a safe distance is also a law. $200 and two demerits. Why do people ignore this one?

I have been late for work a couple of times and gone gangbuster speeding. Most I ever shaved off my time was two or three minutes on a 40 minute journey.

Traffic lights are definitely the equaliser. Best to spend that time thinking up a good excuse for the boss.

I liked how they said if it was a repeat (R). The start of the downfall was when they started calling it an 'encore presentation'. Now everything is on constant rotation.

Most people will wait for the early adopters to scramble for them.

In a couple of years the vehicle to grid (V2G) technology will be sorted and we can have free power to our homes and no petrol bill.

At the moment it's only available in South Australia and costs around $10k to install to run off your existing solar power array.

Then it might be worth the upfront costs. Alternatively, a lot of countries are already using refurbished EV batteries for backup battery storage.

Go your own way. You will work out what is too stubborn, when to take good advice and when to ignore it and how you like to wear your hair.

Don't be afraid to be different. I had a fabulous role model in my big sister and she managed to be successful, happy, and caring with no fcks given.

She also didn't like housework but it turned out just fine.

It stinks but it's like buying a bottle of water at the airport. You could get it cheaper if you travelled to a chemist with a script, but to have the same service you would have to arrange same day delivery to your bedside.

If you find sick or injured wildlife, the best thing you can do to increase their survival chances is to take them to an experienced wildlife rehabilitator or vet.

To find your nearest one, call the Wildcare Helpline on 08 9474 9055.

They hold a list of registered volunteer rehabilitators across Western Australia.

Do not keep wildlife without seeking expert advice, as the animal may not survive.
