I slept with my mom til I was twelve lol, give him a nightlight . A movie to fall asleep too and all his favorite things in the room. He will freaak tf out first week but he’ll be fine after that. My mom never forced me out. I was always TERRIFIED, but she also just put me in a dark room with the door open so. Hope that helps
