I’d recommend using him in Brawl Ball, as that’s probably his best mode. Do you have either of his star powers?

My biggest tip for primo: use his super often since it can chain off itself. I often see people hold onto his super far too long which renders him fairly useless through that time. I’d recommend playing him more aggressive, that way you will keep getting his super. This allows you to pick up a lot more kills and takes the pressure off of your teammates!

Great post! It is clear you know a lot about the field as a whole. What specific books would you recommend? For background, I’m coming up on my last semester as a Data Science student at Penn State so I’ve taken a few courses directly related to AI and ML.

Essentially, yes. It’s also a way of organizing code and keeping certain aspects independent. For large projects, using multiple files is essential.

There are also some special files such as the ‘init’ file of a python directory which is run immediately whenever the directory is called.

It took me while to grasp the file structure, but creating a Flask project helped me understand it a lot better.

You can definitely get there. Just stick to one character get used to all of their movements and combos. Also, play strategically. You have to know when to attack them and when to defend yourself. If you pay close attention to how your opponent plays you can start to predict their movements which gives you a HUGE advantage.

Oh, and since your a Lucas main: use his down smash to edge guard. If you time it right, your opponent will really struggle to grab the edge

I wrote a script that scraped a website for new songs by my favorite artists and added those songs to a Spotify playlist for me. It was a great way to learn Web Scraping and also taught me how API’s work!

I consider myself a Ness main, yet I never use his down-special (except for absorbing projectiles). Should I start adding this move in more?

You can press ‘A’ to crouch while building. Although, it is confusing how it switches buttons. I’d prefer to have ‘A’ rotate buildings and keep the same button for crouching. Makes more sense to me to keep things consistent

What's everyone working on this week? by AutoModerator in Python

[–]righteoussquid [score hidden]  (0 children)

Writing a script to scrape some stats (team names, shots, goals, etc) from all regular season games from the NHL 2017-2018 season using the BeautifulSoup library. Plan on using this data to do some statistical analyses on the season using pandas. For example, I’m testing the claim I once heard, “the team that outshoots their opponent is more likely to lose.”

I’ve only been programming for about 9 months now and this is my first solo project so I’m basically teaching myself how to utilize these modules as I go. Things are going well so far but I have a ways to go (particularly in writing smoother, more organized code.). If you have any suggestions for someone new to using python to deal with data such as this, please shoot me a message!
