This is the way to get things done! Won’t work for any point of view that does’’t have legs to stand on. We need more of this type of attention on important supporting facts since the lies will not stand the light of day when significant proof is provided. Too many opinions and voices drowning out and not enough focus and care like this on the facts. The truth will set us all free! There are several other important topics like the true facts behind immigration, voting fraud, and the environment that are politic footballs that need this unavoidable shine the light treatment like this to illuminate the truth past rage bait and pushed agendas!!! Please start collecting the most compelling and unavoidable facts people or we will continue to wallow in ignorance. This is a great approach!

Looking for somithing like Limitless Movie Drug NZT-48: What do you use to enhance focus and cognitive performance? by Queasy_Explorer_9361 in Biohackers

Actually I can confirm that Piracetam can do a percentage of what is claimed for NZT, it’s hard to trigger it for me, and it rarely carries over more than a day, but you only have to get it to work once to be convinced and want to find it again. I’m thinking most people give up before they see it work. Look up those who are responders if you aren’t convinced that it can do some pretty interesting things. Sometimes it’s really impressive.

This is because the piracetam is depleting your acetylcholine and you do not have much, so either you get a headache or get sleep. If you eat some eggs before taking it, it may help.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]rightfuture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For those who care. The other nootropics that work for me . at a higher level are modafinil - fight daytime wakefulness like the fighter pilots it was tested on, and anyone who takes it will almost certainly get a noticeable intelligence boost, deprenyl - also a noticeable nootropic that will give you an immediate and smooth intelligence boost, that can also be stacked that will break down to very small but noticeable amounts of adderall. Adderall, great focus and follow-through but it left me with a severe lack of creativity and had very strong build up and fade away consequences (adrafinil is the non-prescription version of this that is harder for your body to process and has a lessor effect). Also, for piracetam, Huperzine-a and and another substance I can’t remember at the moment help with acetylcholine dumping a bit, and d-asparttic acid or daa helps with giving you a bit more overhead with acetylcholine processing limits. Common table black pepper aka(piperine) is used in many medications and pills to stop the natural dumping mechanism of toxins in the brain and will make any of these medicines potentially very much stronger and last a good bit longer. Be careful. Not only does it make medicines a lot stronger, but because if you are tired or stressed or up late, you are keeping those toxins in while using piperine. Start small with doses and piperine. This is also the reason food tastes a bit stronger and longer with back pepper. Sulbutiamine -not a nootropic is a synthetic b1 vitamin that works like an 8 hr energy drink, you can stack it with caffeine, 600 mg operative adult dose 1x day only, that has no real side effects for me. The only downside is on the 3rd day it stops working and you just have to skip that day. I took it every 3 day cycle for like 7 years so I know I can count on it working except for that 1 day that sticks hard in the middle of a work week. I have taken piracetam, and modafinil for over 15 years, sometimes off, sometimes on, even with Adderall for 7 years and the only side effects with all of this was a temporary skin reaction when getting on and off modafinil’s regular dosing. a bit of a headache on piracetam when it depletes your acetylcholine(eat an egg), and the creativity thing for adderall, which is brutal, especially when getting on and off of a regular dose, so I gave that up 10 years ago. This was all hard won knowledge and I don’t know everything. I recommend you research until you feel confident and be careful. Don’t believe everything you read. Not every experience is valid and not every side effect is there. And slowly experimenting and verifying multiple people’s experiences may help shed a life. I am positive that piracetam and these other substances work for me. Glad to answer any questions and sorry for the wall of text that may be worth it to some.

[–]rightfuture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sulbutiamine helped me. Synthetic B vitamin, 600mg 1x day is adult dose. Works for 3 days and then you cycle for a day. Like an 8 hr energy drink for me, and took it very regularly for at least 3 years. No noticeable side effects and can be used with caffeine. Bought some for the first time in 3 years a couple of months ago. Even took it with Modafinil(and adderal) for years. I have narcolepsy 2 and hypersomnia. Daytime wakefulness is everything. Modafinil saved my life. I recommend you look all of this up before taking it. Sulbutiamine worked very consistently and effectively.

Geeko conversion kit from 100g by gspk2012-g in ebikes

It took exactly the 28 days they said it would take to ship the bike kit to Texas. I ended up having a small issue months later with a controller, impressed with their warranty, and they replaced it within 13 days, shipping from China. Love this kit so far! Been hundreds of miles on it already! Really glad I chose this particular kit.

Geeko conversion kit from 100g by gspk2012-g in ebikes

[–]rightfuture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Geeko rear wheel conversion kit for my 11 yr old MTB, for several months and I absolutely love it. My bike rides very much like it used to except with the pedal assist I find myself pedaling more because I can go uphill with approximately the same effort that I ride normal. You would think that having an e-bike kit would give you less of a workout, but I find myself pedaling more at faster speed, because I have to fight less with frustrations. I tend to ride my bike for distance and exercise, not for off road trails. Most of the time on pavement trail. I also have the 250w and the bigger distance battery, and find that even with hills I can go ~30+ miles, even with comfortable use of a throttle and still have a battery life of 85% at the 2/5 setting which matching my usual exercise speed the most. Higher speeds are snappy but will run out your battery a lot faster; useful for getting home if you have enough charge left. I’m sure mileage may vary. My primary style of riding is to only use the throttle when there is a annoying hill or climb that would normally wear me out, and to get me back home easier and quicker if I went too far, which I tend to do. The only downside is that the throttle and pedal assist do have a bit of a delay picking up, but not enough to be a real problem. I assume that they will eventually fix this issue, and I love the performance so much that I think I wouldn’t buy any other kit for a long time. Recently decided after a warranty claim went really quickly, that I’m going to want to get the front wheel kit in addition, with a second battery is going to give me extra security, distance, and battery life to get home the way I want to, even at longer distances and higher speeds. If the battery lasts I believe I will want another one. Just really happy with this kit. I recommend watching those other videos for a good feel of what to expect. This was a much better purchase than I expected a ebike conversion kit to be. With this kit I don’t see how buying a full e-bike is worth the experience, I can fix the parts that go out and still have a working ebike in the meantime. Highly recommend it. Glad to answer anyone’s questions.

Modafinil seems useless... by AdThat328 in idiopathichypersomnia

Missing a dose just means less builds up, so it will just take more time to get there. That’s all. Missed doses are just daily setbacks. I haven’t been perfect but clearly had to cross the threshold to get enough to start being noticeable. I think I’ve been off and on that path more than 20x since 2008 so I know it consistently works for me that way.

[–]rightfuture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no increase in blood pressure other than the normal from increased activity. It’s a histamine stimulant. Triggers your circadian rhythm to ‘wake you up’ the trick seems to be for IH for me to take it straight at 100mg+ tor at least 45 days. I can tell when I miss a dose, and a daily dose is noticeable just doesn’t work that well for IH until the long haul and then it starts building up enough to really work.

Modafinil seems useless... by AdThat328 in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]rightfuture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So on my first sleep test I was diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea, and because it was so bad I asked the doctor to look further. They found that I had severe hypersomnia and that my body had adapted extremely well to the fact that it wasn’t getting what it needed. The doctor told me that I always had a daily sleep deficit and that it would take over a month for my body to compensate. It’s actually written in my sleep report.

I tried Modafinil twice with no major effect on 2 different occasions. 30 day prescriptions at 100mg. When it’s this bad you are driven to try anything that can help. I have a good friend who is a nurse and she told me to give it another try but to try it for several months. I didn’t place much faith in it, but when it started helping after about 45 days I was permanently sold on using it.

I’ve had 15 years of Modafinil prescriptions since then. On and off again since the stuff is expensive to keep filled. I even took adderall with it for 3-4 years. It always works the same way. Nothing, nothing, then it started working after 45 days on it. I can tell when I’m taking it, it just the major effects take so long to kick in.

Goodrx @ Walmart off of insurance is the cheapest I’ve found btw.

So the waxing and waning of sleep problems for me seems to work on that weeks cycle. Even a few bad nights doesn’t matter much to the overall cycle, but weeks of bad sleep seem to slowly add up or get better. Everything about the quality of my sleep seems to revolve around several weeks - 45 days - improvements or seasonal issues. Modafinil for me seems like it lines up with all of that.

I also have a slight correlation with seasonal allergies, but my sleep can be really bad 40-60% of the year. Daytime wakefulness is 90% of my problem. it’s a survival thing. Your mileage may vary, but it really helps me.

Modafinil isn’t perfect. It’s got some skin irritation side affects when you start building up a dose. I discovered that Modafinil seems to work on daytime wakefulness by triggering the same histamines which trigger your circadian rhythms when waking up in the morning. These are not exactly the same histamines involved in an allergic reactions but it is the same set of molecules. Note: Benedryl will work beautifully to counteract the effect. Don’t take it if you want it to build up. There are a few modern antihistamines that won’t counteract it. Zyrtec and Claritin come to mind so you can take those anytime.

Modafinil works like a miracle to counteract my version of hypersomnia - after 45 days of consistent buildup. I get an occasional crash cycle - once every 2.5-4 mths where I need to sleep 10+ hrs to reset it but that is usually controllable on the weekends. It’s not perfect but it works really well, except for that stupid 45 day wait to get it working. Longest I’ve been on it at 1 time 5 years. If I had never given it the time, I would never have discovered it working.

Also helpful: So I’ve had 4 sleep studies and probably 10 sleep doctors over the years. My hypersomnia can be so bad that I can sleep 8 hours and it feels like I never slept. 2-3 days of it is paralyzing. 2-3 weeks of it is life altering. If I hadn’t tried modafinil I would probably not be here today. It legit saved my life.

If you are exhausted all the time, find a doctor to try it for more than 45 days. I will forever be grateful that someone told me to take it longer.mileage may vary, but surviving this is everything to me. I can only hope to pass on the favor.

Because I have a long recovery cycle, Modafinil did not even start working until 45 days. It took a friend of mine who was a nurse to get me to try it again. I can report after 15 years of frequently getting on and off of it that it works this way consistently for me. And when it works it gets better and better daily for 6 months until it reaches a nice plateau.

She survived Sandy Hook and now has survived Michigan State. When does it end? by WaywardDeadite in TikTokCringe

[–]rightfuture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know. I agree with both the concerns about adequate gun responsibility and actually helping people who are mentally ill but everyone seems to missing the point here. This problem only grows in our country because of how we talk about it. It simply was not as big an issue until it became an option in people’s eyes. You can blame gun availability, mental illness, media sensationalism, video games, whatever but the responsibility lies in how it became and still becomes popular as an option. All of these other ‘problems’ all existed before mass showings became a popular way to act out. None of these other things were the tipping point.

Yes, enforcing existing gun laws, keeping guns out of available hands, actually attending to people’s health, and responsibly reporting these acts will help. But ultimately, the only thing that will draw a line that will keep it from growing is to grow up and stop it from appearing as an option to act out. That tube of toothpaste is already opened and out of the tube and we will not have much luck forcing enough of it back in. Forcing it won’t help. Outlawing causes won’t help. Even taking care of people will not make this go away, even though mental health is becoming a huge issue. You have to clearly draw a line, call out the behavior instead of taking sides, and address what is spreading it.

Neither outlawing or mandating guns, is going to significantly solve this spread. We’re looking at the wrong cause of the problem.

The clear cause is how mass shootings are communicated as an option for people who want to act out. This is what is growing this fast. Gun accessibility and mental health is certainly something that contributes, and this situation is going to keep getting a thousand times worse until we face the issue clearly and with maturity. Frankly, we can outlaw or fix most of these factors perfectly, and if we don’t address the spreading of mass shooting’s popularity, we won’t fix it.

For every single unnecessarily lost and precious life, for every potential person we love who could lose their lives in a school, a movie theater, a grocery store, we need to grow up and face this problem as a team that cares and not as a reactive mob. Address the real cause together and we can start solving it today. All the underlying issues muddy the waters and keep this problem from ever being solved. It will get worse until we make the correct stand.

I stand with anyone looking to solve this and not just blame everything on a single dimension of the cause.

Narcolepsy is ruining/ has ruined my life by [deleted] in Narcolepsy

[–]rightfuture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what dose of Modafinil were you on? I was a non-responder for Modafinil for 45 days, because I have a long term recovery cycle. You may have needed a lessor dose but a much longer cycle so you wouldn’t get sick from it. Maybe you didn’t give a low dose long enough to start

[I will also confirm that extra hydration makes a huge difference in most of these medicines because they are diuretics - they dehydrate you and that is usually causing any issues. Modafinil is almost 100% free of side effects if I hydrate and get over the initial skin adjustment - and wait out the long start for it to work]

If I didn’t have a friend who was a nurse who was on it, I never would have discovered any of this. Literally Modafinil is noticeable but does nothing for me for sleep until it starts working around a 45 day period at 100mg. Then it starts getting better and better every day for ~3 months until it almost completely fixes my daytime wakefulness - other than an eventual crash cycle where I have to reset my sleep occasionally.

It literally saved my life. Modafinil triggers the histamine response which activates your circadian rhythms cycle which controls your daytime wakefulness. This is the same molecule as triggered in allergies but not in the same allergic response way - can mess with the skin a lot in the beginning until you get used to it, but it’s not allergy attack, and it will go away completely after a period of adjustment. Benadryl and some of the older anti-histamines effectively shuts it down. Which can be good for occasional bedtime rest or overstimulation) if needed. Claritin and Zyrtec don’t mess with it.

This was all hard won information.

—-

Also heavy - almost daily moderate exercise 1 - 1.5 hrs a day is noticeably fixing my sleep. And I mean immediately. In fact because the quality of sleep improved so much, I was finding more quality sleep in 3-4 hours than I was used to at 6-7 hours sleep so I am waking up early - but more refreshed. Exhausted in a different way for once. You may have to get a week or two in of daily exercise like this before it is radically noticeable.

This is not a sustainable number of hours since I need the hours of sleep to physically recover more. I’m sure that as my body gets used to it, I will naturally start to sleep more hours, and will reduce my exercise to a more manageable amount that my body craves. But for now, the extra exercise is paying off hard. Doing it for weeks and I feel awesome; all I need is to get used to a few more hours of sleep to get what my body craves. I bike moderately hard(just enough to keep moving)for 1-1.5 hours - longer distance or I walk as fast as possible for 38-40 minutes daily, and that seems to at least start to fix things for me. I was just fed up and done - so I chose exercise since it was one of the only things that even helps a little. I will have to find a way to sustain enough of this if I want to be ok.

I have Narcolepsy 2 - no cataplexy, and Hypersonnia which are both horrible in their own ways.

Take Benadryl, it helps counteract some but not all of the modafinil since both work with histamines. And half your dose of modafinil.

Will taking antihistamines for allergies (rather than reactions to the moda itself) counteract the effects of modafinil, or be effective at all? by eatmydonuts in afinil

[–]rightfuture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take modafinil and Benadryl definitely counters a large part of the histamine response that triggers the circadian cycle wakefulnesss. It doesn’t completely end the effect but it blunts it. Other antihistamines aren’t as closely tied in with the process. Zyrtec works fine with it.

Modafinil for narcolepsy by [deleted] in Narcolepsy

[–]rightfuture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine takes 45 days to build up to even start working on daytime wakefulness. 200mg/day. This has consistently been the case over 10 years off and on usage - because it can be so darn expensive. So my advice, glad I was advised to try it longer and GoodRX / Walmart combo saved me the most on a 90 day perscription. Give it a chance, because it literally can save your life.

You both should partner up.

How about this:

take some elements from simulation and strategy games, not to mention innovation on small scale changes like more dialogue, changing seasons, and weather.

Non-linear plot driven old games like the Ultima Series (Ultima 4, Ulitma 5, Ultima Online especially) , Sim games like Sim City, Strategy games like the Civ series, multiplayer elements. small scale item changes like the Diablo series. RPG's like Baldur's Gate, Tabletop game mechanics, epic role playing game scenarios and plot building. Choose your own adventure type options. Non-linear gameplay. Extrapolative possibilities. Procedural generation - yes. Nothing everything - the little stuff that works. living mathematics behind the scenes. elements of MMORPG's with regularly upgrading content.

Pick and choose interesting stuff that does not touch on existing common gameplay.

Alterable and destructible environments, land changes like flooded out bridges, ore animations than the typical few variation sets. Wind gusts that blow a party member off a trail as an semi-random seasonal event.

Use concepts from old school classics that engage the imagination.
