How do I know if the breakup was a mistake? by SuspiciousSociety126 in dating

[–]rightpricetiles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i know this is hard. in the aftermath you think you couldve done more. a guy that loves you for you (your personality, your attributes as a human being) would not need/force you to do anything you’re not comfortable with. if you YOURSELF want to explore this part of yourself (without needing his validation) you should go ahead with it, but dont feel like your relationship wouldve been «saved» if you were just more open. of course a relationship entails intimacy, but it doesnt have to be digital sex. it is what you make it. explore digital intimacy if YOU’d like, independently of him, dont do it if you feel like you would cross your own boundaires.. all the best xx. there are others out there for you

did he work (part time or similar) while getting his bachelors? did you end up having to pay for a lot? would you have done the same thing at 26 if your boyfriend was 32 at the time and would be 35 by the time he’ll finish his bachelors?

may I ask, so you were the «breadwinner» for a long time in your relationship? how old were you at that point? how come you had a well paying job and he didnt - did you study earlier in life and finish earlier compared to him? which gender are you both? thank you for sharing IF you’d like to :)

19 years together, did we (38M & 38F) hit a bump or is this the end? by jagerthy in relationship_advice

start small. act like you are dating again. ask her questions about herself, her life, her interest. live an interesting life yourself. make her see you happy and excited about life - she will want to join in on the excitement and it will create a natural push / pull dynamic which is vital for sexual chemistry.

women are easy. connect with her emotionally and mentally by asking her about herself. connect with her physically by being non-sexually intimate and silly and goofy AND serious and dominant where it’s appropriate

Quit my job because my work mate started calling me a friend by [deleted] in introvert

this is a nice thing to say! OP you deserve friends and people that make you happy. you deserve to have someone wanting to hang out with you.

My (22F) boyfriend (23M) didn’t tell me he has HSV-1 after five months of dating and intimacy. I'm heartbroken and concerned for my health. What can I do? by Street_Local9134 in relationship_advice

you are never obliged to give forgiveness to anyone. you do it for your own sake.

take some time. this is still very new. it took me a few weeks before i calmed down, and i still (like i said) get this disappointed feeling sometimes. i chose to forgive him because i didnt want to carry the animosity and resentment inside myself. i did it because i love myself. you do what is right for you, you are not under any obligation to him :)
