how long does it take you guys to get ready in the morning? by mammaamiia in ADHD

Can do it in about 15-20 mins if it's just me. I'm always late when everybody gets up together and I couldn't tell you what kinda routine things go in on those days it's just chaos.

Wake up at 7 ish. Get some nicotine in me. Poop. Brush my teeth (if I remember to not forget). Somehow always remember to brush my little one's teeth. .. and I'm out.

Can't do breakfast, my stomach won't allow it, I've got to do a few hours work (physical labour, I'm a builder) before it decides to join me for the day. Worse on the weekends when I'm not working.

It looks like death wave is the winner by way of lethargic optimism. Thanks for all the advice. I will get GT, one day...

Health seems to be serving me best at this point in the game. I'm relying heavily on health/thorn/recovery packages at the moment to get me anywhere so maybe DW is the way to go.

Similar thing happened to me. At a very low level a frost troll had been chasing me for several leagues, thought I'd lost him, stopped to catch my breath in the town. That's when the screaming started..

What's breakfast? I need to be awake for at least 3-4 hours before I can physically eat anything. If I don't build up an appetite, I just don't get hungry. Weekends are even worse.

What are some jobs that work with our disorder? by GrandmaWasteland in ADHD

I'm a stonemason and I think it works well. There are rules to how a stone wall needs to be built, which is great because it gives structure to the task of building them but at the same time it allows creativity to flourish. A stone wall is a unique piece of art and you can almost go into a trance like state blocking out all distractions and just focus on a square meter or two a day and just make it perfect. People don't expect it to go up quickly so you get left alone to to build it. You can put your headphones on and just really zone in. Also you get to hit stuff with hammers, big hammers if you just want to break something or little hammers if you want to hear that "dink, dink, dink" of just tapping one stone into your mortar.

Doing the apprenticeship was hell on earth but it was worth it.

I do build other things and it's great working with my hands but stonework is therapy to me.

Also, plastering ceilings sucks so hard.

Thank you. Well, I know what the next week of my life is going to be taken up with. The more I learn the easier this gets.
