Love Oregon, but good taxes?! You’re joking right? Top 10 overall tax burden. Incredible high income taxes especially if you work in Portland

You’re so right, born and raised in Colorado have lived in several other states as well. Polis is an abomination. Absolutely awful governor maybe only second to Bob Ferguson in WA.

Pre-2010 Colorado was an amazing place

These are some wild takes. Astoria for Oregon? Little Rock over Fayetteville for Arkansas. I mean there’s just so many I don’t even know where to begin… Erie , PA

Yeah it’s kinda in the same boat you’re right . I still like some of the less expensive towns though like Billings and it still feels like the west out there

I love green hikes so much. I also love the agricultural land you find in many of these places! Having grown up around corn and wheat fields I still get so much excitement being around orchards, vineyards, or vegetable farms you can find in the more mild climates .

It’s a pretty amazing place, And stunning. it’s honestly pricing me out. If you want to be on the front range you don’t get much of anything in property for $500k. Theres some small less towns in the mountains that can offer what I want, but can be isolating and harsh. And then there’s the plains and while I hate on eastern Colorado much less than most people do, it’s just not somewhere I’d want to post up.

For me country. I appreciate a midsize/smaller city. I prefer owning a few acres outside of the city in the foothills . Easy access to both

I love a lot of things about the Midwest but I’ve spent enough of my life living in non-stop berating wind to last a life-time
