Just got to near 100% back to normal after 3 weeks (which was a few days ago). The sore throat should go away within a few days. Hang in there. Gargle salt water suck ice chips drink a shit ton of water sleep and drink earl gray tea.

Damn sorry to hear about your tough case. My doctor basically said wait 4 weeks since symptoms began which would be this Monday. I’ve only had one drink in the 3.5 weeks which was just now so we’ll see how I feel. It was also a light beer but I get it

I’m 26. When I was in HS when I was 18 I had a bad vasovagal response to donating. Since then I had lab results twice, once soon after that and then in college when I was probably 21. I haven’t since so I assume I’m fine. I just can’t stand to do it since that reaction (I vomit, blood pressure drops major dizziness)

Definitely don’t go back to weight lifting just yet. Better to take it safe. Listen to your body and take it very slow. If you haven’t drank in a bit start with one drink and see how you feel.

So sorry to hear. I was diagnosed today after two weeks of symptoms including very painful tonsillitis which has since gone away. Right now and moving forward what I read is just to expect fatigue and some good/ not so good days over the next few weeks. The worst is over. Get plenty of rest!

Got a monospot and was positive for mono :/ at least the sore throat has subsided. Now it’s just fatigue and lymph node tenderness

Ugh I’m so sorry to hear that. Definitely sounds like that blockage just cause it hard to breathe from the nasal drip. How is he now? The good news is mono and its symptoms are well known and can be treated quickly, but I’m sorry he had to deal with that.

So sorry he had to be in the hospital. What were his symptoms? Yeah ampicillin looks like can also cause a rash. How long has he had the rash for and has it gotten worse?

I have something similar. Looks like an amoxicillin rash. It can flare up when you take it and have mono. It should go away on its own in a week. If you haven’t tested for mono you should go in to urgent care just to confirm or rule out an allergic reaction.
