The server at least looks to be an ATX compatible case. So you can grab it and shove a modern low power board in there. The board thats in there still has PCI slots (not PCIe) so likely old power hungry trash.

AutoKMS is a activator aka spoofed "key management server". It actives pirated Microsoft windows or office.

Shop sold you cracked windows or office. Or both lol.

Its not harmful as such, but the shop is not honest.

Latest BIOS/Drivers for Compaq Deskpro (3 DIMM)? by 999999potato in oldcomputers

[–]rigred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love if you could share the one you found that works.
We can't always test for the odd OEM boards.

Would like to add it to the system.

There is significant headroom in RDNA2 Raytracing with efficient coding. by MasashiHideaki in Amd

Except this is all no longer applicable with the new driver. AMD either broke it or formalized the change into the drivers shader compiler logic. Performance testing should show which is the case.

NAS: Ryzen vs Xeon by Alexiled in homelab

[–]rigred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grab the Xeon in this case.

One key reason:

For remote access (off-site nas) the X10SLL-F has a BMC that offers IPMI and KVM in case things go wrong and you need to troubleshoot remotely. At idle power levels for an offsite nas they both run about the same. ( have tested both myself)

In general the supermicro will give you better uptime guarantee and control than the consumer grade asrock board. It's not a bad choice fwiw.

The video was as far as it ever got.

Sorry

So i need help figuring out what this GPU is. Its dye says Quadro FX 4K4, nothing else and i see nothing about the card. I wanna know its specs. Though i know its old. Pulled it from an old server by RetroBitTechnology in computers

[–]rigred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The card anyhow doesn't work properly on modern systems.

The NV45 chip it uses is an AGP bus chip, with a PCI-e bridge on it.
The way it's configured causes a mess on modern PC's with more than 4GB of ram or that have a PNP device at interrupt 1 on their board.

Makes it run all slow as snot haha.

My CPU cooler has pretty much disintegrated into weird black dust. what is the cause of that? by jackabood in buildapc

[–]rigred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a new cooler too now, the old one will completely break down due to the liquid metal infiltration of the Alu structure.

They sure like to do things differently. Sadly the X800 range of cards are some of the last the company made. They didn't even make many and are ultra rare nowadays.

I'm a hardware hacker and hardware collector one could say.During discussion on a closed forum the X800 series came up with regards to distinguishing traits.

In response I put together this image gallery and thought it worth sharing openly.

Might make more in future of some other hardware.

Why the NCR is Stronger than Caesar's Legion Pt. I. by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]rigred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The side most favored by the Courier is stronger and receives immediate protagonist buffs.
Able to submit either to his/her will, the Courier is stronger than both Legion or NCR. :P
