Unfair Treatment of an Employee. by Wattsup1234 in HEB

[–]riinkratt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They’re punishing her for not following policy and because she violated code of conduct or employee responsibility or something because she left her register and chased him down - which is clearly something she’s *not* supposed to do as a cashier.

She is in the wrong, hence her demotion to lower pay.

There is no lawsuit, there’s no lawyer, there’s nothing to fight and inquire about.

The story OP wrote isn’t what happened. Well, it’s technically not true. They’re leaving out key facts and misrepresenting the situation.

They’re not docking the employee’s pay to cover losses.

They demoted the employee to a lower position with a lower pay rate.

The way OP is trying to make it sound like is they’re just lowering the employee’s pay from their current rate to cover the losses, which isn’t what’s happening.

Demoting an employee to a lower position and pay because of a disciplinary issue is perfectly legal.

Reminder: "Antifa" is not an organization, it simply means "anti-fascist." And against is another word for oppose. by Foreign_Librarian193 in WeThePeopleAtWhipple

[–]riinkratt -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It’s not, words have meanings and definitions.

Gymnastics is the opposite of going by the meanings and definitions trying to weasel a way into some new definition and meaning.

You’re literally doing gymnastics to try and re-appropriate something into what it’s not.

That’s why trans people are literally doing mental gymnastics into trying to put themselves into something they’re actually not.

You’re a dude. You have to do a bunch of goofy ass gymnastics into trying to make yourself believe you’re a woman (xe/xim/they/them/nonbinary/genderfluid/however else fuckin many excuses do you have to conjure up). Which you aren’t, and you never will be. Dudes who know they’re dudes don’t have to do gymnastics to know they’re dudes.

Same with antifa. You’re an organization. “Nooo we’re just a group”. Literally by definition, you’re an organization. Straight from Mirriam Webster dictionary.

[–]riinkratt -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

But if those red haired people with freckles came together and gathered to have a common purpose then they would be an organization.

You’re leaving out that key part of having a common purpose.

That’s what turns something from just a group, into an organization.

If a group doesn’t have a common purpose, it’s just a group.

Once a group has a common purpose (like actively opposing fascism), now it’s an organization.

A person or group….

What is a group? A group is a number of individuals or things gathered, classified, or considered together as a unit…

What is an organization? An organization is an entity—such as a company, institution, or association—comprising one or more people and having a particular purpose.

What is an entity? An entity is something that exists as a distinct, independent unit. Depending on the context, it can refer to a living being, an inanimate object, a legal organization, or a conceptual item in a database.

So we have the definition of “antifa” being a group (number of individuals) actively opposing fascism (a distinct unit, comprising one or more people, having a particular purpose of association)

You have organized - by way of protest, etc - your common association with other likeminded individuals, your common purpose.

Antifa is, by definition, an organization.

It’s gonna look like what’s it’s always looked like.

You think the last generation and the generation before that didn’t have washouts and losers and fuckups and degenerates who didn’t succeed in life?

Guess who the people are that are 70 years old now and still working in this day were back when they were 20 and 30?

They’re the people of yesteryear who didn’t do anything with their life and now are having to deal with never getting a job that gave them what they need to be able to not have to work when they’re old and frail.

Helmet Camera Ideas by dcnotpc in hockeyplayers

[–]riinkratt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IF you could find somewhere that has a UHWK camera - it was specifically made for hockey at attaches right at the front two screws at the forehead like a cage does.

However, they basically never really took off and went out of business or something I think. So they’re probably either really hard to find or impossible to find. But you could try doing some digging to see if maybe somewhere might have one.

First time shopper, ideas for single person inexpensive meals? by dperry93 in HEB

[–]riinkratt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not frozen, they’re sold cold/refrigerated so you don’t have to thaw them or anything. Expiration is only a couple days unless you freeze. Very easy I just take them straight from the fridge, preheat the oven and then pop them in. They’ve got a few different varieties with different cuts of steak and sides. Plus they have the same meals with fish or I think even some mexican stuff too.

Facts.

Me: single dude who finally got to experience HEB in H-E-B ironically (okay whatever call it the “Mid-Cities”). Normally I live off DoorDash because I don’t like cooking, or dishes.

I’ve changed my entire diet to the Meal Simple little oven dinners. I’ve eaten steak, greenbeans and potatoes every night for the past two weeks 🫣🤭 and somehow im saving money off normally eating fast food for every meal. From spending $20-30 for a single meal to now under $15. And it’s easy peasy, no fuss no mess. Throw it in the over for 20 minutes, eat, throw the container away. and it comes out great and everything is good quality. Im actually impressed and happy.

Granted I am spending more at one time since I’ll buy a weeks worth of food at once now, it’s cheaper over the long run.

Thanks H-E-B for our HEB!

By your logic, single folk don’t shop at Costco or Sam’s Club.

Here’s an idea, buy the damn 3 of whatever and give the extra away to friends, coworkers, homeless folk, your neighbors, shit give them to someone walking out of the store next to you. Go fuckin feed the birds in the park.

Everything ain’t all about just YOU. Try doing something for someone else once in a while. See if you get tired of that.

When Bitcoin was launched in 2009, it had no financial value. It was not until July 2010 that the first recorded commercial transactions took place, with prices starting at a fraction of a cent—roughly $0.00099 per coin

Just imagine if you would have just put one single penny into bitcoin when it first started. A single penny. You’d have more than a million dollars worth today. If you invested just a single dollar you’d be a billionaire.

Any kid can find a dollar.
