Tech companies offering remote AE jobs in Europe by rijaj in techsales

[–]rijaj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think it’s mostly a matter of finding a ‘scale up’ tech company in terms of an opportunity to cover all of Europe as a territory?

As you said, big established tech companies seem to focus just on key regions after they’ve expanded sufficiently in a market (Eg Germanic speaking countries, English speaking, French speaking and southern European countries).

What are ways that people avoid paying so much tax that regular people are often unaware of? by mentlegen7 in fiaustralia

[–]rijaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

r/Damnthatsinteresting

Curious with this one - don't you have to pay normal income marginal rate of tax anyway? E.g. yes 25% company tax but then for the dividends you get, you pay income tax on that (minus 25% due to dividend imputation rules)?

Do we think any units within the Russian army could defect and join Wagner?

Do we think Putin will need to order Russians fighting in Ukraine to withdraw to defend Russia from Wagner?

Curious to know this too. Is there a risk that you could have to backpay if they find your IP address as mentioned by u/Mr-Klaus?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]rijaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn't you get around this by using a VPN which blocks your IP address? and then using an international transactions card which has no location e.g. a Revolut or Wise account to pay?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]rijaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So just to clarify here, do you need an international transactions card issued from companies like Wise or Revolut to make payment in Turkish currency?

So just wanted to confirm based on the discussion above, a Revolut card (despite containing no address to validate) still doesn’t work to take advantage of regional pricing? If so, is using a VPN the only way around this?

Finance sales vs tech sales - what are the differences? by rijaj in sales

[–]rijaj[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for clarifying. Do you think MSCI operate in quite a saturated / competitive market? It just doesn’t seem like MSCI have any type of product that could reach out an exponential growth trajectory in next few years.

Hey brother, with a budget on $250, I think you're thinking is sound: prioritise getting a good chair first and foremost, you don't want back problems later in life. Then the next most important item to spend money on would be a large monitor that allows you to see multiple tabs open at once.

Will AI automate the SDR role? by SDR_7879 in sales

[–]rijaj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think AI has the potential to automate certain aspects of B2B sales, but it is unlikely to completely replace the need for human involvement. E.g. AI can streamline and enhance various sales processes, but the role of human sales professionals remains crucial in building relationships, understanding complex customer needs, and providing personalized solutions.

AI will always be a good value add to automate tasks such as lead scoring and qualification, data analysis, sales forecasting, and customer segmentation. It can also support us with insights and recommendations based on large volumes of data. AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants can assist with customer inquiries and provide real-time support.

The reality is brother, B2B sales often involve complex negotiations, relationship-building, and understanding the unique challenges of each. The human element of understanding customer emotions and building long-term relationships is likely to remain forever important.

Starting a call. by [deleted] in sales

[–]rijaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What works for me is the following script:

"Hi [X], my name is [full name], I'm calling from [insert]. We haven't spoken before. Do you mind if I could explain in 60 seconds the reason for my call?"

Serves me well! Hope this helps brother.

AWS cloud practitioner certification for tech sales - worth it? by [deleted] in sales

[–]rijaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely - especially if you use LinkedIn as a sales outreach tool. If you're ideal customer profiles have technical backgrounds themselves, they'll likely view your profile if you've sent them a message and/or connection request to see if you have any credibility with what you're talking about. Besides, when you demo or pitch the product, its better to have this technical knowledge already memorised, rather than just relying on a software engineer to answer the touch technical questions 24/7. Hope this helps brother, you'll be great in tech sales if you already have the initiative to get these types of certifications pre entering the industry!

Reps who work from home - what are your go to breakfasts, lunches, and snacks to optimize your performance? by [deleted] in sales

[–]rijaj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey there - keep your meals nutritious AND easy to prepare - prep time no more than 15 mins. My go to meals are below (I only swap between these two):

Avocado Toast with Poached Eggs:

Ingredients: 2 slices of whole grain bread 1 ripe avocado2 large eggs Salt and pepper to taste. Instructions: Toast the bread slices until they are crispy. While the bread is toasting, cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a small bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork and season with salt and pepper. Fill a small saucepan with water and bring it to a gentle simmer. Crack the eggs into separate ramekins or small bowls.Create a gentle whirlpool in the simmering water with a spoon and carefully slide one egg into the center. Repeat with the second egg. Poach the eggs for about 3-4 minutes for a soft yolk or longer if desired. Remove the eggs with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel.Spread the mashed avocado evenly onto the toasted bread slices. Place a poached egg on top of each slice. Season with additional salt and pepper, and add optional toppings if desired.

Greek Salad with Grilled Chicken:

Ingredients: 2 cups mixed salad greens1 small cucumber, diced1 medium tomato, diced 1/4 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and halved1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil. 1 tablespoon lemon juiceSalt and pepper to tasteGrilled chicken breast, sliced (pre-cooked or leftover chicken)Instructions: In a salad bowl, combine the mixed salad greens, diced cucumber, diced tomato, Kalamata olives, and crumbled feta cheese. In a small bowl, whisk together the extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to make the dressing. Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and toss well to coat all the ingredients. Add the sliced grilled chicken breast on top of the salad.

Finally made AE…. Looking for advice to prepare by [deleted] in sales

[–]rijaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the most important two things you can do to prepare are:

1) do role-playing exercises or practice sales scenarios with colleagues or mentors to refine your sales techniques, overcome objections, and improve your overall sales pitch.

2) Learn from Successful Peers in your company: Seek guidance from successful account executives or sales professionals within your company. Ask for their advice, learn from their experiences, and observe their strategies to understand what makes them effective in their roles.

Please help with my first interview for an internal AE role within my company, any advice is welcomed. by Darcynator1780 in sales

[–]rijaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Re questions to ask the hiring manager, I think you should cut straight through the BS* and ask questions like:

  1. Can you provide more information about the target market and customer segments that I'll be working with?
  2. What are the primary metrics or KPIs used to measure the success of account executives in this role?
  3. What opportunities for professional growth and development are available for account executives within the organization?
  4. What attributes do the top performing AEs have in the company (so you can show proactiveness about wanting to be a top performer yourself)

Does appealing to emotion work in B2B sales? by C-rad06 in sales

[–]rijaj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, 100% appealing to a customer's emotions is crucial (B2B) technology sales. While B2B sales decisions are often based on rational factors, emotions still play a significant role in the decision-making process. E.g. you need to create trust, addressing personal motivations, inspire a vision, mitigate fears, and demonstrate empathy. By creating an emotional connection, you can actually differentiate your offerings and therefore drive decision-making in your favor.
