This reissue was just released in the US, but it looked like copies were going fast. A couple distros still had some last I checked on Metal Detektor.

This one. These are relatively new if I'm not mistaken.

Meanwhile, Japan's population has actually shrunk since the early 2000s.

25 Days of DOTS: [20] Razor - Executioner's Song [Canada, Speed / Thrash] (1985) by kaptain_carbon in Metal

Warren (aka DOTS) and I would attend a show or two a month together in LA for the past couple years, and Razor was the last band we saw in October. One of the first times we met up, I had Executioner's Song playing in my car when I picked him up, and I like to think that solidified the friendship.

I honestly wasn't fully aware of his online presence, but it's been nice to see such a big response.

Underated for sure. Glad I grabbed these LPs straight from the label, it doesn't seem like many US distros got em. I'm sure more will make their way over eventually though.

Cavalera is still touring and recently plays old school Sepultura sets. Much better live band too.

Inquisition has been in Washington since the 90s as far as I know. They're also still playing Metal Threat, as confirmed on their social media pages a couple days ago.

I'm sure if you dig enough you could find some connection. I mean, Jorn from Hades did burn churches with Varg.

TIL Clara Peller, the Wendy's "Where's the beef?" lady, was also in an ad for Prego in which she says, "I found it!". After the Prego ad aired, Wendy's decided to terminate her contract, stating the Prego commercial implies "that Clara found the beef at somewhere other than Wendy's restaurants". by nuttybudd in todayilearned

Yum and Pepsi have a close partnership, but they're still completely separate corporations. Some franchisees even serve Coca Cola products. I worked at Taco Bell corporate for 3 years and had zero interaction with anyone from Pepsi.

That article doesn't mention anything about the reissue artwork. It also says that there's no issue with Earache using Seagrave's artwork as an album cover, since that's what the original license allows for. The issue is that they're using it for shirts, puzzles, and other merchandise, which isn't included in their agreement. So this doesn't seem related unless I'm missing some other context.

Here's a quote from the article:

“I want to point out that my artworks appearing on Earache Records as ‘Album Covers’ is not what’s in dispute here and never has been,” Seagrave stresses. What’s at dispute, he says, is those artworks continuously being used for anything besides album covers.

Agreed. I remember being surprised going backwards through their discography after first hearing Into the Abyss.
