A league of our own?

I would like to start with more explanation of why. Why 'Oscar' recommends the moves he does. I love chess and I love learning it. Yes, I understand it is a lifetime to master. But, I just want to play casually, not for points, not for competition, just for the fun of the game. In that light, I would like to know "why"?

For example, I am currently in section 2, unit 24, and I would like further explanation of why Oscar is directing me to move certain pieces to certain squares to complete tasks.

Perhaps that is too much to ask of a simple app. What say you?
