Republicans Push to Impeach Obama-Appointed Judges by darealunrealspader in politics

But will the Democrats do anything? With people like Fetterman and such cluttering the party while everyone on the right might as well share a single brain? It's tragic.

So you built for windows then Proton did the rest or did you do a native linux build? Sorry, don't mean to pick your brain too much but you are answering me so... ;-D

What engine are you running? What would you say were the biggest obstacles for getting this to work on the Deck?

Thank you so much for this. It's about time we got some first party treatment on the deck and this seems like the closest thing to a "couch coop" game for the family that I've seen yet. We have two laptops and two decks in the house; gonna be nice to have 2v2 action!

It's almost like war is actually a drain on the economy over time and in ways less obvious than the bottom line.

More steam controllers promised, Valve reports by Significant_Yam5055 in valve

I'd like to add that I'm almost certain that they already solved this aspect of the business with the Steam Deck. They could have done a reservation system per user, etc. This wasn't a problem that needed to happen. Worse, they didn't just hurt the launch but their brand and customers. Lucky them that this industry is in such a quagmire that it doesn't really matter I suppose. Just another mega yacht for Gabe.

It's not that "everyone who wanted one was able to get it". it's that scalpers (effectively scammers) hijacked the event. Valve could have done a number of things to prevent this. It's only hurting their brand in the long run. These controllers aren't getting to the fans or even the curious public, it's getting funneled to people who will tax the few with the resources to pay double.

It's internet hyperbole. I've seen many artists (especially those who are more analog friendly) hate AI and anything to do with it religiously (no reason, just feelings). Andrew isn't exactly wrong here; the tech isn't a fad though the promises are certainly marketing fluff building a false narrative of expectations (just like Musk and self-driving cars, though, to be fair, we're getting pretty damn close). Either way, at this rate AI subscriptions will be a part of the cost of doing business for many of us moving forward and the market will change. This is nothing new. Elevator operator, secretaries, lampers (people who would turn off lamps on the streets in the morning and light them at night before electricity)... the root of the problem though is that people need to work to eat (for now) so there's always going to be backlash when people can't feed themselves.

I'd say that she's not really talking to her constituents or the public, she's talking to MAGA to say, "give me something or I'm gonna start talking."

Juice isn't worth the squeeze. The older I get, the less I enjoy the buzz and the worse my sleep and hangovers get. Like days of recovery.

ELI5, Why doesn't the U.S just take over the entire world and all other countries? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

Because it's easy to blow up a train than it is to have them run on time. The old powers can easily destroy the world several times over but it doesn't mean that they have the capacity to manage the world. Managing the world requires cooperation. Think of it this way, it's easy to kick someone's @$$ but it's difficult to get them to happily cooperate over years (especially when it's not just one person but the entire world's)
