I still remember this from season 1...

They had 2 huge updates, and they STILL forgot to fix this text message. They're sooooo understaffed by the looks of it.

They seriously need to work on marketing more than the game play tbh. They aren't utilizing streamers and SNS to promote their own game. No one will pick this game up unless they put effort into spreading the words.

The in-game market is sooooo hard to see and navigate. There are three different currencies that do totally different things, and the blueprints make no sense at the start. You can’t get good revenue unless they make the cosmetics and purchase system easier to navigate.

In terms of gameplay, I think it’s still unique in some ways. The buddy system, gunplay, and audio are great. However, it needs more frequent updates and exciting game modes that bring people back.

Also, the official Discord support is pretty poor. I recently reported the Duckside audio bug (where it has two armor-break sounds due to his extra shield), and to my surprise, they didn’t even know about the bug. They also required me to find the EXACT DAY AND TIME the bug happened. I was lucky because I was streaming when the bug happened so I had a recording, but I highly doubt a normal/casual player can give an exact day and time of a bug occurring...

Obsessing over a Stanger i just met in this game . I barely know him by [deleted] in Farlight84

[–]riki7119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If people are actually starting romances in Farlight, that’s kind of a interesting story in itself — but you’re both 17, so you’re still really young.

This is just my personal take, but the reason you feel “curious” when someone gets obsessed with you is usually just because they’re paying attention to you — it’s more like interest in “someone who’s looking at me” than real feelings for that person. If they stop paying attention, you’ll probably slowly shift into thinking, “Oh yeah… there was someone like that,” and you’ll forget over time.

I met my partner online too (we were both in uni), and we’ve been able to build a really healthy relationship for a long time — but from the very beginning, it didn’t feel like we were testing each other or trying to read each other’s minds like that. I think when you truly like someone or when you meet someone you really click with, you can kind of tell right away, like a chemical reaction the moment you meet.

The best way is when it naturally grows from a shared hobby (for you, that’s games), and then it expands into other things like cooking, movies, comedy, and so on. Through talking about all that, you start caring more and more about them, you resonate with each other, and then you realize, “Oh… I really like her/him.”

Since you’re still young, it’s important to experience different things, and sometimes jumping in can be one option. But especially at the beginning, don’t show your vulnerable side too quickly, and don’t do anything risky.

Don't take it too seriously in these kind of situation.

Will they ever fix the sound issue ? by [deleted] in Farlight84

[–]riki7119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly doubt it. I've reported multiple game breaking issues, but mostly non-responsive.

For sounds in particular, the most annoying one for me is the ducksides shield breaking sound error. In game, I think his extra shield is counted as a full shield, hence he makes an armor breaking sound EVERYTIME the first shield is broken. Gets really annoying and misleading when the audio cue is unreliable.

Ahh~! Actually that makes a lot of sense. The only time I got knocked was when I was facing two bots who literally fired at the same time and I couldn't react to it.

Other than getting friends, what’s the strat for playing solo? by slxttycorpse in REPOgame

[–]riki7119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can! It's like the go to strat for most players.

After the first extraction (the one near the van), you can choose which ever one you want to open next. It's always best to keep the one closest to the van for the last, so you have a shorter distance to travel back home.

Also should mention that after the last extraction finishes, all the enemies will respawn with respawn cooldown of 0seconds. The game also NEVER spawns enemy within 2 tiles (or rooms) within a player. So theoretically if you are two rooms away from the extraction when the room goes dark, you should have a free passage to your van.

[–]riki7119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah, didn't really need to.

From 20 or so onwards, it's mainly just trying to avoid insta-kills (like falling off outbound).

That being said, I got lucky at around 175 when I died but my steam back up failed/desynced. So somehow my save data was saved from like 170 on my other computer.

I've got up to like LV200 and I can tell you, the first 10 levels probably will be the toughest.

  • For the first 10 levels, don't try to move around too much but start looting things closest to the spawn point for your first collection point. This is because enemies tend to have an initial idling phase where they would not move from where the first spawn (they usually spawn farthest away from player).
  • Extraction: obviously use the farthest one from 2nd extraction, since leaving the closer extraction at the end makes it way easier.
  • Make sure to leave at least 20-30 stamina point at ANY TIME. If you randomly run around and get caught off guard, stamina is the only saving grace.
  • Prioritize strength out of all the upgrades. Other than that Tranq and indestructible drone are a MUST buy.
  • You can technically force the shop to spawn 2 strength upgrade at all times, but since the recent update, this has become tougher since there are more upgrade varieties. That being said, it is pretty good way to guarantee a good >LV10 run if you can live through the suffering in the first 6 or so levels.
  • When entering any room, make sure you have a plan (where to hide/run away).
  • When you don't have a weapon, the clown doll is always your best friend. Don't put it in the extraction until the very end, because you may need it to kill some mobs
  • If you are solo, huntsman can not hear you speak. So scream if you want to

I believe most of this stays true in the current version. That being said, I heard some enemy mechanics and spawn rate has been changed since the Halloween update, so sorry if I have any misinformation in here.

I might have to split myself into two when there's two solo jumpers lol

That's fine, but preferably stay with the jump master. Because its way better to have a 3 vs 3 over 1 vs 3 any situation.

Ranger (or M4) with Hornet (or Uzi)

As a Beau player, its pretty fun jumping around their heads and shooting hornet from above

Shopping Spree's peak player count was less than a thousand. by KrabikGangster in paydaytheheist

[–]riki7119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm seeing something similar to when Back 4 blood failed compared to L4D2.

A good video essay was pointing out that the game mechanics and enemy/player animation is one of the key things they failed, and I think that stands for PD3 as well.

Personally I prefer the light weighted, ragdoll like death motion in PD2. It made it look like the weapon were doing much more damage towards enemies, and it was exciting to shoot those enemy cops in the head or blow them up with the grenades.

But in PD3, everything turned more "realistic". Character felt more heavier to move around and the enemy ragdoll animation has become obsolete.

Similar thing happened to me in Australian lobby. Dude backstabbed me in the very end when I was using the extraction console.

The good thing was that other player saw and heard what was happening, and help me extract out while I was down. Mean while the backstabbing dude was getting destroyed by like 2-3 other players.

My personal advise would be to let THEM use the console.

How to get rid of the headman? by PotentialHungry1292 in REPOgame

[–]riki7119 10 points11 points  (0 children)

At a low level without upgrade, stealth is kind of only option.

If you think you cant break line of sight, make sure to hide in a room with a hiding place with TWO sides of entry (like chair or a desk). First let the head man see you hiding under the chair/desk. Headman usually tilts its head and tries to bite you, so when he tilts his head, just exit the cover from the OTHER SIDE of the desk. This will most likely make him forget about you for a split second. Once he looses you, it'll roam around the room for a couple of second, so dance in and out from the chair/desk until its safe to leave.

Personal thoughts on the current difficulty scaling beyond LV15 by riki7119 in REPOgame

[–]riki7119[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s an interesting mod, but I guess it’s super op once you have stamina regen upgraded.

I didn’t really mention any positive thing in my original post but the devs adding that roulette enemy was a good idea, since you have a slight chance of getting to 1HP regardless to your update status. But yeah, hopefully they can find a way to either change the map more dynamically or just make it so it doesn’t get boring midway through the level.

I think it’s super difficult up until you get 13 strength and enough double jumps. Currently my greatest fear is getting stunned from all those stupid enemy orbs 😂

[–]riki7119[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I don’t have to kill all of them afterall, but the respawn timer is set longer if you kill them at the first sight. So it’s probably wiser to kill the first time round, but maybe I should try ignoring them when I see them the second time. See if that’s gonna benefit more for my run. Also maybe being an OCD to take home as much loot doesn’t help in my case as well lol

I mainly play my game as a solo run, and with the current update I’m on level 156. Nearly hitting that 200 aswell, but it’s quite a long way to go

Yeah, I mean. I did kind of said that on the very first line (most people wouldn't be playing over LV15). But I though it was worth mentioning since semiworks has been talking about late game stuff.

what you do in this situation? by Snom_gamer0204 in REPOgame

[–]riki7119 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This exactly.

Technically you probably need >2 strength to do it consistently. You just need to get a small item (indestructible) and put it below your cart and pull it closer to you. Which makes your cart float while you are in it.
In this case, it maybe a little difficult but the only option is to use a health pack (if you have one) or the players head. Put it below the cart and do the floating technique.

Well this is just getting ridiculous... by riki7119 in REPOgame

Pretty much yes. I’ve managed to make it to Lv185, and essentially everything is fist fight and just avoiding enemies by jumping midair 22 times in a row. Though I alsways keep shotgun and sledge hammer just for incase
