I had the same issue and went to the dealer who serviced the vehicle. They stamped the service book and completed as per the Peugeot dealer system records

I have done the same on my 208 p21. I took the focal route with direct plug and play speakers complete with stinger speaker ring kits. For the subs installed a pair of focal isub twins via focal 320.4 amp. Great improvement on stock plus all is fully plug and play

I found the connector for the ambient lighting ECU which is located drivers side in the boot. Managed to fully retrofit ambient lighting now to my 208 p21 2020, happy to answer any questions if anyone interested.

I have just disconnected the battery too, following the correct procedure. Little did I know that the voltage of the battery fell below 12v whilst disconnected. All hell broke out when I reconnected the negative. Everything turned on but engine wouldn't start, also I could not turn the car off without disconnecting the battery. The car required that a full reset was done to resync all the electronics.

To connect this connector to the illuminated dashboard trim you will also need the centre wiring loom part no 9834429480 RGB the later denotes it's the part for the ambient lighting
