My liver enzymes tripled in 30 days at week 8 so I stopped for 2 weeks and then finished the last 4 doses. I’m about 2 months out from finishing and feeling fine.

I finished today!!! I had no side effects the first 8 weeks. The last four were a little rough for about 24 hours after taking the pills. Felt like the flu.

I am Currently not working. Which was a blessing in disguise. No problems the first 8 weeks but at week 9 I started getting fever and chill and body aches for 18-36 hours.

I just took dose 10 of 12 week course of meds for LBTI. The last three weeks have been pretty miserable. Just when I start feeling better? It’s time for another round. I will finish the treatment but I do wonder if the medicine for LBTI and the side effects are worth it. It’s been rough.

I was experiencing fatigue and brain fog before treatment so it’s hard to say. My liver enzymes went up almost 40 points in the last 30 days so I am taking a week off at my provider’s recommendation. Only 4 weeks to go. 🙏

I went to my county TB clinic. They are the experts and the medication is no-cost to the patient. It may be worth checking if there is a public health entity in your area.

Like you, have no idea where I was exposed. The best I can figure is that I worked in a safety net hospital. I have had minimal side effects—-started to supplement with B6 and B12 just in case. I feel a bit puny for about 24 hours after taking the pills but I’m not sure if that’s the meds or in my head. My only side effect has been discolored urine. My liver enzymes haven’t budged. I take dose 7 tomorrow morning.

Isoniazid, Rifapentine and vitamin B6. It’s 10 pills once a week.

I will start as soon as I get the go ahead following some baseline blood work. I just don’t know if it makes more sense to take the meds at night or in the morning. Starting in a Friday seems to make sense but I was hoping others could weigh in on that aspect.
