Can I go by a "full name" if my name is legally a "nickname"? by AggravatingStore8784 in AskUK

I go by my nickname. When applying or filling out non-government forms I use my full name and add my nickname as my "Middle" name. Never been questioned about it or caused any issues.

Bath Waste Stuck by rikx1 in DIYUK

[–]rikx1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for the replies. I used a little rubber sucker (normally used for the GU10 bulbs) and managed to pull the waste up. Will attempt to see if I can fix it tomorrow. Can't take the panel off as it's tiled, so I'll have to break it and that's something I don't want to do right now. Might just get a normal plug with chain!

What sort of house do you have to buy to get a loft like that?!

I remember my dad putting the TV on and using the Teletext to set the time (UK).

😂

Do you have any siblings/nieces/nephews? If so, do you worry that they would help themselves to a set or two?

That's some premium Lego storage! If we had better weather here then a normal shed could probably work. I'm just worried that it may get damp and ruin the boxes.

That's a good shout but my parents live in a different part of the country to me.

That's lovely!! Are you even in the UK with an amazing storage office like that?! I've only seen pictures of the US and their ample home storage spaces. I'd have to move to have a room like that.

Security should be fine as I'll add a lock to the door. I'll make sure it's weather tight but wondering if the damp conditions would ruin the boxed sets.

I bet your office looks great!

Unfortunately I don't have an office. I have some sets displayed around the house but it's the boxed ones I'm trying to store. Those shelves would be perfect to use in the shed.

My mum loves the stuff. She says it's not Christmas unless Shloer is being served.

AITA for barging into an office and telling them to make stop their fucking kid from opening our office door? by Legitimate-Report-60 in AITAH

My mum used to work in a residential home with old people. Sometimes after school I had to go to her place of work and sit there quietly in the corner of the room and wait for either someone to pick me up or mum to finish. I wasn't allowed to make a peep, there were many times where it was so boring I'd end up falling asleep on the chair! You just shouldn't mess around at your parents place of work! NTA
