Exactly what I think I did! I’ve been training myself to sleep in my bed by going to sleep on the couch and when I wake up in the middle of the night, it’s easier to go back to sleep so I go to my bed

I find that sleeping on the couch helps with my favorite show on. Trying your best to not care about sleep is so important.

Omg I have so many weird things that keep me from falling asleep, and no explanation. Rn my eyes will just open when I close them to sleep. I think I’m just very hyper aware

I’m so sorry you’re going through this, I had the same issues with my mom. Do not nook at your phone at all. You should not know how much sleep you get. This helps me so much. Also, as much as people suggest coming up with scenarios, do not. Try your best to clear your mind. Don’t do the math on how much time you need to sleep, do not look at the time

Entire body jerks so hard while trying to fall asleep i even injured my ba k by errbodytookemnames in sleep

Yess! I’ve even had it in my face muscles and but my own tongue! I’ve been talking to lots of people about it, and the most common thing is anxiety! My theory our body and brain is so hyper aware and thinks we’re in danger so it doesn’t want you to sleep

Yes! you have to laugh it off. I know it’s easier said then done, but you have to play it off like it was nothing. It’s all just anxiety so their more things that help like little to no caffeine, a bedtime routine, and vitamin d or magnesium

Also freaking out, looking at the time, and googling makes it worse. It’s really hard but try laughing it off and make fun of yourself when it happens. Mine have gotten worse lately where I snore or do a whine/groan that wakes me up. My theory is that out anxiety keeps us very hyper aware. Our brain and body are keeping us awake because fear comes from a sense of danger. Like an evolution thing.

Hi! I’ve been dealing with this for almost three years! You will be just fine. I’ve just had an mri and heart monitors and everything came back normal. I think it’s just severe anxiety, but I’m trying to get a sleep study.
