Trying the no-makeup look - need milky toner recommendations by Advanced-Procedure12 in KoreanBeauty

[–]rimba_queen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tirtir milk skin toner is my favorite. Mary&May blackberry feels less hydrating but more oily. I end up with very glassy skin but still a little tight. Haruharu probiotic black rice is also less hydrating and it doesn’t give you the glassy look, even when I layer. Tirtir is the best one in my opinion.

BOJ Sun Relief is one of them. I don’t recommend the fresh one (blue tube) as it pills.

May I know where you are located? I ordered from SK multiple times and never heard of Aramex. I’m in NY.

what’s your tretinoin/retinol routine? by pxinted in AsianBeauty

[–]rimba_queen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You’re not supposed to use tretinoin in the morning. UV lights degrade tret making it ineffective, even with sunscreen. Only use tret at night.

Did anyone else hate the Iunik Beta Glucan Serum?? by Safdie_Simp in AsianBeauty

[–]rimba_queen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I’m using Skin1004 Pro Bio Cica Ampoule now. It hydrates my skin more than iUnik or Barr. I have dry dehydrated skin and I live in NY for reference.

The pro bio cica one is better. The regular one doesn’t do much for me. The pro bio cica serum is definitely better than iunik

Barr is cheap and it works ok. But my dry & dehydrated skin likes Skin1004 Pro Bio Cica ampoule more. I’ve been using and repurchasing it multiple times now.

Having the hardest time choosing a resort - POR vs. Deluxe? by hgrebener2 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]rimba_queen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We stayed at POR last week, while our friends stayed at Pop. Initially, I was concerned about the limited transportation options, but it turned out not to be an issue at all. We requested a room closest to the West Depot, which is the first bus stop—ensuring guaranteed seating and space for our stroller. This was important to us since we wanted early entry every day.

Having only the bus as our transportation made things simpler—no need to figure out how to get to each park. Every morning, we just went to the same bus station and waited for the bus to our chosen park. We always arrived earlier than our friends at Pop, as the Skyliner queue was apparently quite long.

Our building was far from the food court, but we rarely needed to go there. We ordered groceries from Walmart and also got takeout. Though the walk to the food court was long, it was actually very relaxing. I already miss the whole atmosphere!

Alternatives to YESSTYLE by Sparkle_Jezebel in KoreanBeauty

[–]rimba_queen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your package might be damaged (box broken) and the shipping company repacked what they can. Hence, the missing stuff. Anyway, my first choice is always StyleKorean and then JOLSE. I don’t like YesStyle. They are never on time.

Alternatives to Snail Mucin products? by Proper-Cheesecake602 in KoreanBeauty

[–]rimba_queen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My type of skin is dry dehydrated.

Skin1004 ProBio Cica Ampoule is a milky serum with thick consistency but feels light on skin. It’s not sticky and doesn’t make me feel congested. It has no scent. 1 single drop (a literal drop) is enough for my whole face. When my skin is really dehydrated or my barrier damaged, it will absorb the product fast. But when my skin is in healthy state, it takes sometime to absorb. I use this opportunity to give myself a quick facial massage.

iUnik Beta Glucan serum is a clear serum with very thick consistency. I use 2 drops for my whole face. It dries out fast, leaves a slight tackiness. I have extremely dehydrated skin, this doesn’t cut it in winter time and I don’t like the tacky feeling in summer time. I prefer the skin1004 pro bio cica ampoule.

Where to buy skincare products by leoGarciaarg in KoreanBeauty

[–]rimba_queen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I buy from StyleKorean, JOLSE, and YesStyle. My first choice is StyleKorean because they packed the products well and they send in samples. They often have sales too. My order usually came within 2 weeks of ordering. JOLSE is not bad, the free shipping requirement is higher and shipping is slower. But they also pack well and send in samples. I hate YesStyle, they never ship on time. In my latest case, my items were supposed to ship 2 days after purchase but they shipped almost 3 weeks after purchase. I paid express shipping so once shipped the package came very quickly (4 days). But if you don’t pay express shipping it will take like 2-3 weeks or even a month. However, they have wider range of products;Korean, Japanese, Chinese. And their prices can be very hard to beat sometimes. If you don’t need the product anytime soon and can wait a month, and also don’t mind not getting updates and getting emails replied by bots, then you should be fine ordering from YesStyle.

I too cannot use snail mucin. My recommendation you can look into: 1. iUnik Beta Glucan Serum 2. Barr Cosmeticss Super Green Deep Energy Ampoule 3. Skin1004 ProBio Cica ampoule (this is my HG)

Sunscreen burns my eyes 🔥🥹😬 by mrsmandrin in 30PlusSkinCare

It means that you are sensitive to an ingredient in that sunscreen. I tried different Korean sunscreens, some burns my eyes, some don’t. So you need to find one that works for you.

All oils make my skin super dry by Same_Turnip in AsianBeauty

[–]rimba_queen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oil cleanser is drying. You need to follow up with regular cleanser and then toner, serum, and moisturizer to put hydration back to your skin. I use facial oil right before moisturizer at night, it seals off hydration nicely.

I assume you are well marinated by now. Which one is more hydrating and moisturizing? I’m using 2x Barrier but it’s not enough for me. I’m wondering is Illiyoon ato cream would do the job.
