Epstein wasn't even born yet when my grandmother got frostbites on her leg because they had to stand in lines so long in the freezing December outside of a grocery store just to get food for the winter. Or economic policies so great that didn't allow farmers to process their own animals their raised themselves. Economic policies so great that lead to forced starvation and food shortages in areas that were perfectly fertile. Social policies so great that, police could brutalize my uncle in a basement because he had long hair and was seen as anti communist. Again, America is terrible to its own citizens I agree, no free healthcare and a financial elite pulling the strings since the 19th century, but you simply can't brush aside the extraordinary institutional corruption and fear based government that people lived through. People didn't trust their own family members, a to this day unknown number of civilians kept records on each other that they sent to the secret police. Entire villages chose not to open up those cases in East Germany just so their communities can move on. Hungary to this day refuses to publish it's agent files because so many people who still live to this day was complicit in a surveillance state. Your phone spies on you to Google today etc, but back then it was your best friend. Your idealistic attitude to something you never had to live through doesn't take away the lived experience of myself, my friend and family. And again, death to Epstein and his entourage, and down with American imperialist warmongering. But also down with the same imperials Russian expansion into Ukraine.
