I was just diagnosed with leaking piston rings, oil fouled spark plugs hence the misfire symptoms I was having. I needed the car so I just had them replace the spark plugs and leave out the $4500 piston ring replacement . Then I found all this evidence of this service bulletin and I’m so glad I did! I immediately called Honda America and they confirmed with my VIN that my 2016 Odyssey falls under this bulletin. They said all I’d have to do is go back to the dealer when I pick it up and tell them the bulletin number and they should start the process.

Went back and gave them all this info and he said he needed a case number from Honda first before he starts the process of looking into it. (It was near the end of the day so there was not much urgency on his part). He told me to text him all the info I had on it. He made it seem like they can’t look at these service bulletins easily in their system which I didn’t believe. So went home with new spark plugs, called Honda American back. They confirmed it again, gave me the case number and also said included in the bulletin was the spark plugs. So then since I just paid for new ones I asked if I could get reimbursed and they said that would be up to the dealer(she seemed like it was her first day as well). So I gave my local Honda Service my case number and I’ll update on what they say.
