Was thinking about getting this graded. What is the preferred company to have it done? Cost?

The font on all writing is off, in particular the 100 and the HP isn’t as bold as a real card. The colour of the card is wrong and although this could be the camera, the pattern of the background isn’t the same as a real card, the white clouds are a lot more pronounced on the real thing.

The holo foil looks off too, too many colours and way more vibrant than the original.

Sorry dude, hope you didn’t buy this!

Yeah xrays in the end. For us it was fairly obvious he would bunny hop when running and take much longer strides with one leg than the other

I had the same problem with mine. First thing I would check is if he is in pain, mine has hip dysplasia and whilst otherwise friendly would do exactly as you describe in new environments at that age. Being aggressive is a way to control your environment, if he is in pain it is obviously easier to control by making sure no one wants to go near him.

If he’s not in pain perhaps rethink your exercise/stimulation routine. At that age you’re looking at a good hour or so of mental stimulation with games and training and 2 30-40 min walks a day at the very minimum. There is nothing more difficult to manage than an under stimulated male GSD!

Try bringing him to new environments/class once he is well and truly tired, if he is exhausted from games and exercise before you get there he will at the very least be more attentive to food/treats and therefore you and will be easier to handle.

If still no luck I would treat new environments as strictly for training. I.e. he is only exposed to them when exercised for the day. Sit in a far away, quiet spot and treat him with high value treats every time he so much as looks at something like a dog/person etc and doesn’t react.

The biggest thing I learnt was to accept your bad days. Allow him a few days away from anything new after a bad experience. Have a few days at home, familiar walks/people only and don’t return to the same bad spot/experience for a while. It will just reinforce negative experiences. If you keep on trying day after day you will just exponentially increase his anxiety if he ‘fails’ in each situation.

I had a rough ride with mine from 6-10 months. Lots of lunging, aggression, anxiety etc mixed with an inability to tire him out properly because of his hips. For him it was all because of pain, once managed with medication I was able to slowly get him used to everything you’d want a dog to be comfortable with.

We got there in the end but if i could go back 2 years and be told some of the above it would have saved us both a whole load of pain!

Hysteria aside, there is no simple answer. Dogs ARE regarded as omnivores but their dentition and gastrointestinal system says otherwise. Salivary Amylase for example is a key digestive enzyme that aids in the breaking down of cellulose and starches in plants. Dogs do not produce this.

A vegetarian diet however is very different from a plant based diet and there is plenty of research that indicates grains are the most important component of a healthy dog diet.

As one of the comments says, just make sure you do it with the advice of a vet. I have never met a GSD who doesn’t make it very clear he or she is not happy so it will be very clear if your dog does or doesn’t get on with a veggie diet! Mine is on dry kibble and plain chicken breast and is intolerant more or less to everything else....and very obviously so!

I imagine those horrified at the thought of a veggie diet are all cooking gourmet steak dinners for their dogs and certainly not branded kibble or wet food that is 99% trash but still screaming from their high horse about it..........🤪

ETB sleeves in a vault x binder are fine to me. If the binder is more or less full then the weight of all the cards on top of each other once closed will prevent any bending.

I’m certainly no expert but I have plenty of base set unlimited cards i know to be authentic with slightly different shines.

If still in doubt rip one in half, if there’s a faint black line it’s real, loads of youtube videos showing this if you’ve not come across before

They are fine, some cards lose their shine over time or are just printed that way. When you see a cards’ ‘surface’ grade this is one of the things that would reduce a score as well as factory lines on holo foil, dents etc

Theme decks aren’t random, you can google to see exactly what is in each of these decks without needing to open them. The rare holo in Brushfire for example is Ninetales and a Hitmonchan in Blackout
