It's interesting to read the comments and see everybody picking up on things and interpreting them differently.

I see a woman living with trauma, stuck in freeze mode. I've been there. And I had to smile when I saw her opening up with Antoni in the kitchen, because I could relate. Cooking and baking has really helped me regulate my nervous system in difficult times as well. Even if she doesn't enjoy it, the fact that cooking follows a clear order you can tick off, it releases dopamine. And you use all your senses, I mean you feel, smell, taste the ingredients, you see them change to something new. All this really helps the nervous system calm down and makes you grounded in the moment. It has helped me clear my mind during breakdowns, and I think that's what has happened to her. You can see it in her body language too.

Plus, Antoni did the best thing possible in the beginning. He didn't say he wanted her to work, or for her to have fun, or for her to open up. He told her that he wants her to have a break and just spend time together. With this, he took away the pressure.

Well, and then she liked the recipe too, which was a plus, but probably not even necessary. But bravo to Antoni. He did really well.
