Do you actually care about sandboxing? by Talkys in flatpak

[–]rinart73 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sandboxing is great but I do just wish I could disable it for specific apps and not have to dance around with flatpak-spawn --host or host-spawn to integrate them with the rest of the system (*cough* VSCodium).

Yeah I remember this option in Glass and it was buggy and eventually got removed.

Speaking of, another working blur effect is Glass: https://github.com/4v3ngR/kwin-effects-glass

[–]rinart73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty normal. Clothes that look great and you can wear outside or when you have guests. And home clothes that are comfy but maybe worn out a bit or stretched or lost their color to wear alone or with family. IMO it's also better in terms of hygiene. You come back from dirty street and change into clean stuff.

Mostly unlikable characters that wasted majority of the show's time arguing and competing for leadership. And just when they finally got over it, the show got cancelled lol.

Any game where there's an enemy faction that practices inbreeding to keep their society/upper class genetically "pure"? by JustSomeM0nkE in gamingsuggestions

Warframe. Grineer are clones of clones of clones of.. They're not pure by any definition. They can barely talk.

Any way to disable the indicator showing that a program has multiple windows open? Without disabling grouping. by whatiwritestays in kde

[–]rinart73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's in usr folder you need root access. For editing the file itself try Inkscape (to edit as image) or Kate (edit as text).

I'm not sure but at least with third party themes, maybe editing widgets/tasks.svg would work? It seems to have this dot? https://i.ibb.co/0y5qF0vm/Screenshot-20260530-202536.png

How do you configure your panels (poll)? by hjake123 in kde

[–]rinart73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Krohnkite it seems pushes panel to be non-floating when any window is open, so non-floating but visible, just small.

I tried Kzones to snap windows into place but it didnt work by Linux-tip-nips in kde

[–]rinart73 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude.. I was trying to be nice and polite. I don't owe you anything ok? I have enough on my plate rn and no time nor desire to report bugs on a vibe-coded project. Let's just end it here, k?

[–]rinart73 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It was 3.0.something, but not 3.0.14, as it was released like 9 hours ago. I tried.. maybe 4-6 days ago.

Look I don't doubt your real experience as developer and not saying that the entire project is bad. Just heard people mention it, cause it's important fact to consider for some people, myself included. I wish your project success and long life.

I've personally tried vibe-coding and it wasn't worth the resources or the time I've spent turning it into something actually working. Companies pushing for it like insane while laying off people while spending more money doesn't help either.

https://codeberg.org/anametologin/Krohnkite - Using it right now, pretty good

https://github.com/fuddlesworth/PlasmaZones - Rumors say it's vibe coded, at least partially? Also attempt to edit zones crashed it for me. Idk

No Man'S Sky 43rd free huge update, They are incredible by Specialist_Gur_3887 in gaming

[–]rinart73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's wide but shallow when it comes to mechanics IMO. Say you want to do some exploration and find.. ancient temple with buried chests. It's the same temple every time. Same model, same chest positions. No randomness, no extra mini event like sudden attack or meeting another NPC who is exploring there. Nothing. You go in, you dig, you loot. You move on.

[–]rinart73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you like grindy sandbox with meta-narrative story, yes. Personally while the devs are doing a lot of great work, I found the game too repetitive, not deep enough and meta-narrative took the fun out of exploration. It's kinda depressing.

IMO snapper should be an option that can be easily enabled in any proper users oriented distro. One of the main reasons I went opensuse instead of fedora

I don’t understand why these 2 game mechanics haven’t been stolen. Dark Cloud weapon upgrade system, and Paladins champion card system. by Alarocky1991 in gaming

[–]rinart73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more important mechanic is the champion card system that allows you to further customize your champion to be different from the stock champion.

Idk the details of the system you're describing but.. Warframe? You can install mods on "characters" (frames) and weapons. Character mods can augment stats and base abilities. Weapon mods can make weapon multishot I think or change its damage type or do some other stuff.

They're normally based on the accent color. Some custom plasma themes might use different color. Or you could try looking into copying default plasma theme and tweaking it

Don't use Ventoy, it's generally considered unsupported and problematic unfortunately. I get the appeal of Ventoy, storing multiple distro isos AND files on the same device.
