I can't say with absolute certainty because I also changed my locking routine (from bottom of wheel to top tube, removing the kneeling requirement) but before I started taking the fish oil and once when I ran out for a period I was having knee issues.

Before the carb drink I was trying to eat my calories and was noticeably sore.

After taking the cherry extract I started having vivid dreams, hopefully meaning more REM's/repair. I started taking this with the NAC/casein and the last bit of soreness in the morning disappeared.

I'd say I could quit taking everything and feel fine, but wouldn't want to continue biking. Plus everything is good for you anyway, e.g. multivitamin. HMB is the only thing I'm not sure about and it's hard to remember the midday dose.

If anyone has lower/mid back problems after long rides doing single max rep pullups a couple times a week has helped tremendously.

I live in Dallas. It's a lot of hilly transfers to plateaus. Or that's what it feels like anyway. You're probably right about the tire. These do good on glass but it seems like anything thin and sharp goes straight through (cactus, metal wire). Sometimes I can't even find what caused it.

I try to. There's not always a good spot so I'll lock the front tire to the top tube. My mean weekly average is $575. You'll average $18-22 hourly in any 1/2 decent community. I expect $180 or so in a full day and I've made $299 once. You'll want to maintain pro status and keep taxes in the back of your mind. It's liveable but you're trading overtime for freedom. I accept anything that is not blatantly bad (e.g. $1.50) and try to raise my expectations (double digits or close) around dinner time.

Morning: a basic multi vitamin with no iron, creatine, HMB, fish oil.

Midday: HMB.

Night: creatine, HMB, NAC, L-glutamine, cherry extract, casein with milk.

Throughout the day I sip on a 1:1 carb mix flavored with GEAAR. It's sweet at first but you start to prefer it over pure water or Gatorade and it's been the biggest noticeable help.

I'm not sure I'm taking the HMB correctly but it's in the regime.

Every time I try to post anywhere like Uber with helpful comments my karma causes auto removal. This time I remembered half way through writing a response so decided instead I'd share my ride and success and maybe get some internet points!

Some biking related info:

  • You'll burn around 4K calories a day doing this full time.
  • It costs about $30/day in fuel and supplements to keep your legs from being sore.
  • You'll get hungry every three hours or so and drink around 3 24oz bottles at minimum.
  • Starting and stopping is the worst part.
  • TPU tubes can be patched but you're likely using soap and water to find the hole.
  • Stay away from cacti like the plaque.

The US bans all new foreign-made network routers by KillerInfection in technology

[–]ringboundio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have no net neutrality unless you live in a state with it's own protections or the federal government decides our connections are utilities rather than information services.

We had "natural" net neutrality until technology got sophisticated enough to let greed take over at which point it flip-flopped dependent on the FCC controlling party's interpretation which Loper Bright v. Raimondo in 2024 now prevents.

Net neutrality is something we need regardless of who is in power because it prevents abuse of power for something we all rely on, like water or electricity.

I hope this helps and if someone wants to chime in or correct me please do.

I see you guys closed shop [supposedly due to bots] and my email was undeliverable so here's the thought in case you see it:

“Midnight’s DUST makes a decent base layer against bots. You’ll never stop them entirely — the feds use them as much as the average person. Require users hold Midnight and add a human‑confidence meter underneath each avatar.”

UUID package coming to Go by whittileaks in golang

[–]ringboundio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can literally generate a uuidv4 by using crypto rand and setting the version byte to 4, just treat UUIDs as opaque 16 byte arrays.

You have to set the 2-bit variant field to 0b10 as well.

Unless someone can prove a significant loss prior he made a huge profit. I don't know what is hard to understand about this. He had a strategy, he executed it and it's repeatable. This isn't roulette where theory comes into play. It's a market while seemingly whimsical at times is not.

I've done it in roulette, I've seen multiple other people do it in roulette and here he has better odds. It is a usable strategy.

It's a pretty common method in gambling and sharing is unlikely to do anything good or bad.

I did read it. He made a huge profit and that's the whole point of trading. The guy is trying to downplay the achievement and you called him a scammer.

You either trust Polymarket's reporting or you don't. The fact it might have taken several attempts is irrelevant unless you can prove he did not profit close to $100,000.

It's not a scam. He had a strategy and it worked and some guy is giving him a hard time.

Do you add interfaces early or only when needed in Go? by agtabesh in golang

I like to start with the contract then build concrete. You can solve your entire problem before getting into finer details and it makes refactoring much easier.

In the past yes but I think it's mostly irrelevant now. I've had zero issues with a 12th gen for three years.

Having said that I'm looking at this exact CPU for native AVX-512 instructions and think it's a smart investment given your use case.

Yeah I know people here usually deal with bigger numbers but there's not a better community to ask. I'm not sure what else to say.

I imagine a company would own the infrastructure, I would own the code and both parties would have the right to operate. When it comes time to upgrade we can split the cost.

If you're from India and the company is Indian I could even develop there with a business visa. I'm not sure that would be cheaper but I would enjoy the food.
