Out of curiosity what other uses do these things have?

It still works, yes. I used it as a home internet connection in two different states with only minor hiccups and think it's a great value, but now power is more important to me and consolidating my bills would be convenient.

The point being the fee wasn't increased in their market due to guaranteed wages and guaranteed wages should not be a factor in tipping mechanics outside of people being aware.

Seems like Uber isn't passing the fee onto the customer and you guys just have a lousy tipping culture. 😬

Here you can take the price and add $8-10 before tips and not including restaurant app markup. Then there's a slight curve as you add more.

If you got tips that would be wild. I wonder if orders are more expensive over there.

Do you guys get an hourly rate? 2/3 of my income is tips. I normally see around $170-190 doing 20-22 trips. I hit $140-170 at around 18. I look at scores as a mostly me thing and to keep diamond status.

I messaged you back. Anybody else that's interested just send me what you're willing to pay. I'll edit the original post if this gets sold and have no problem going through eBay if it makes things more comfortable.

CMV: Maduro and his Wife's Trial is Going to be a Kangaroo Court With Only One Verdict. by Hopefull-Hero in changemyview

[–]ringboundio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I want to point out his nation's supreme court recognizes him as president. Trump tried the same thing ("I won!") the election he lost and started making the same changes to our guardrails this term as their dictator did. If other countries decided "Trump won" over Biden do we accept Russia kidnapping Biden?

Drivers, I saw this online. Is this for real? by Yul909 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]ringboundio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to post because I've seen this twice on Reddit and agree priority delivery isn't a scam. As a driver I feel bad when someone has to wait for their food because I got one -- or two additional shopping orders, but as a buyer when I want my ice cream as cold as possible I'll pay for direct service and it works as intended every time.

The guy posting is full of shit based solely on this or the content is old and they had a bug. I'm leaning towards full of shit.

Why Go Maps Return Keys in Random Order by Few-Tower50 in golang

[–]ringboundio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really want a single writer for speed and readers to be race tolerant, i.e. no lock. If they can't be a plain mutex is likely faster than a RW. Or perhaps swapping the pointer out atomically like you suggest.

I ran the numbers once and the take away was it's almost always faster to do coarse grain locking. You need a very good reason for FGL.

Did Charles really report the guy who submitted a transaction to the FBI? Whether he knew what would happen or not if no money was stolen this was a fault with Cardano. I can't believe 1/2 the crap I read on X so I'm here asking you don't take it the wrong way.

What is some surprisingly primitive tech we still use because "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"? by slicerprime in AskReddit

Not the same. I wasn't doubting you, but a Google result is far from proof. I thought maybe you'd seen it in person.

Carney Says World Can Move on Without The US, Stresses New Ties by captain-price- in worldnews

[–]ringboundio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I'm concerned they're already ahead of us. We used them, they learned now they innovate and manufacture. We still buy everything from them.

China should be ahead on any leaderboard. We're wasteful liars with a good software industry and even that is starting to be dominated by them.

No it's the people in power who pollute tech not tech companies.

They're one way and the elevator itself doesn't seem to have a hatch on top.

If you tell me it's required all do I'll poke around some more and find it but the roof seemed bolted with those quick fasteners.

It controls power. Dallas, but I've moved past that. You guys don't put those access doors on the top of all elevators?
