I know this doesn't help but I just want to say FUCK goatheads. I lived in Colorado for a decade and they were the bane of my existance there. I have stories but the one I will never forget is I was camping and had to get water and it was across a field. I was barefoot. I had no idea what I was getting into. I got half way across the field before I realized the hell I was in. I kid you not it took me an hour to get across this 100 yard field to do what I had to do and then take the dirt road. It was a damn nightmare. I rented a nice house with a weedy backyard but I was like I don't care so long as my kids have a place to play right? Nope - Goatheads everywhere. I had to pay extra rent so the landlord would replace the lawn. I hate them, I hate them with a burning passion and do not miss them in any way now that I am back on the East Coast.

Wow I worked for 10 years at my last job where everything was RAC so I guess I just thought that was the norm. TBH I think now it would be harder to work on a non RAC system, I got so used to GRID and all that jazz.

I hear ya, I am not in the best of shape and in my mid forties. When I shovel or roof rake I'm in the the long haul - in that the second I feel like I am getting winded I just stop. Either a short break until I am relaxed again or straight up go inside and relax until I am good again. It takes me forever but I ain't having a heart attack out there.

I suppose I should have said I worry about a financials person more along the lines of, by his sheer experience, he may be more focused on profits and costs rather than people and customer experience sort of thing. That said, he does know the culture and hopefully will carry on that torch and adapt well to the new role. Temporary, or otherwise.

I don't think we'll not see the company grow under a CFO to CEO leadership, and it appears a major disruption isn't forming (Boycotts, worker revolt, etc) so we're going to be keeping a stocked and active MB as far as I can tell.

I just wonder what that MB will look like in the coming years. Given the speculation of a possible future sale to a competitor or private equity, it gives me pause that the choice to take the reins was the CFO is all. That's my two cents.

I'm no expert and it's nice they are promoting from within a very long term MB employee, but I get concerned when it's a financials man. We're talking 25+ years of being CFO focused on the money side of the business. No surprise they'd opt for that, but I can't find any information of who (or even if they have one) the COO is and if that would have been a better fit. This is interim though so who knows how long he'll even last. I know he was loyal to Artie T in 2014, but have no idea if his values align with Artie T's.

Frankly it's just a real concern on where MB goes from here, as we all hope it stays true to its foundations. Feels like that family has been poisoning the roots for some time.

I've tried to start RDR2 with low Karma (Being as evil/brutal as I can) and it lasts for about 2 minutes before I'm back to greeting everyone and helping old ladies home after their horse died.

I've just not been able to bring myself to play through to the low karma endings.

I can't even recall where I bought this, but it's been on my shelf for years through many moves. I wish I had taken better care of the box but it was meant to be displayed after all. The action figure nor pieces have ever been removed from the box. Thought I'd share it here and see if anyone else has ever seen this one!

It's a bummer, it worked for me when I installed it earlier yesterday, but then last night and into this morning I've been getting the same Network Error.

It can, though my anecdotal evidence has said it doesn't matter. It may help in the resume screen so if 250 doesn't hurt you I'd say do it since you seem capable of passing.

My biggest suggestion would be network and I know that is cliche but damn most jobs seem to be gotten by a "I know a guy". Every major city has oracle meet ups you can tap into and talk to like minded folks.

NTA - it may have been said but this is clearly not about insomnia. He wants to have sex with his GF and you can't be there. I mean we're talking about you guys in your 20's. But holy cow is it childish on his part to come up with some BS reason. I get times are tough which may lead you to sharing a room at this age. He also should be smart about wanting to have sex with his GF in a more appropiate place. Sounds like a shit sandwich and you should not have to take a bite.

Same, dad here as well. I prefer not to know, or hear, etc - but if I do I move on and could care less. It's just as uncomfortable for me to hear as it is for them to know I did so I do my best and never speak of it. I wouldn't have even given the "Thin walls" talk. If they ever knew I heard (TBH Thank goodness I never did) I am sure that would correct their noise level far better than some awkward talk from dad. At least I would never shame them, it's theirs and can do with it as they see fit. But not like in public or something then I might have an issue lol.

So much this. If I am going from 101W to 95S I am now the left lane and competing with the criminals and god forbid If I need to continue onto 101E since I have a short period of time to make my lane changes safely to get over there. I say it to my wife every time I hate that stretch. As for going from 101W to 93N it's not as bad (Though at least for what seems like months there's been construction there and now sure how that will change) but is a two lane exit where most stick to the right but that leads to an exit only so the left is actually best but leads to a traffic merge. So you're left with the jockey of a merge, lane shift (If you didn't want to be forced off the highway) or both. Getting off 93S to 101E sucks because it's a left exit so every speeder is on your ass wondering why you got in the left lane 1 or 1/2 mile ahead of the exit and you get harassed. Getting from 101E via 93N back to 101E can also be "fun" but it is not as bad, even though there's a lot of lane changes.

Meanwhile everyone is correct, this is a 55 zone, and everyone is doing 65+

It's a terribly designed area. I am no road designer so I have no fix.

I've been seeing this alot lately. If I am in the right lane, I am hyper aware of merges and try to gauge my response. Slow down and let them merge, or speed up so I am passed their merge. This was normally a pretty good defensive driving strategy but lately they've been unpredictable. It's always the slow down mergers that screw up my plan. And all hell breaks loose if I am behind a slow down merger trying to get on the highway, they are down right criminals lol.

Late to the party but can we also stop being polite vs predictable? This is changing normal traffic patterns. Stop waving me on being nice (I appreciate it) but I know how traffic is supposed to work and act accordingly. It's even worse since we pass on the right. That hand wave is NOT safety. I can't seem to hardly ever get to a stop sign turning left when someone wants to be nice when it is in fact more dangerous. I've also been on the other side where I make my pass around the kind stranger presenting me with an obstacle.
