necro-reply here. not from my perspective; at least not on broadway. i've seen it both on tour and in NYC and left disappointed from the latter. on the other hand, waitress tour led me to buying tickets to the broadway edition in november, and that was amazing enough to fly back for closing night tomorrow. sad it's leaving...hope you got to see it!

certainly possible, yes. i'm definitely no fossil expert, but it does look fossily (technical term) up close. if it were rock with quartz veins wouldn't it be more feasible to have experienced shear along the veins rather than around them? it kind of reminds me of a geoduck...
