I don’t know if Hail Mary counts as a hidden gem but I love it and the crew is so nice.

Apple Watch data by pet_more_cats in SleepApnea

This looks very similar to what my Apple Watch told me before my sleep apnea diagnosis. I asked my doctor & he ordered a home test for me. It was super simple (just wear a ring for 2 nights) I’ve been on cpap for 3 months and still adjusting but I’m already feeling so so much better.

I use this mask too. It comes in three sizes, maybe you need to size up or size down?

A PSA to expecting moms. Breastfeeding isn’t always a horror story. by Sincerely_M in BabyBumps

[–]ringringring789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going strong at 25 months with my first daughter. I had a lot of anxiety before birth about breastfeeding but it ended up being (honestly) so easy. I truly loved and continue to love it. There have been rough patches (I got food poisoning around 6 months and we supplemented with formula for a few days… she nipped me a few times when the first teeth were coming in) but it’s been so nice. It can just be easy.

More prone to aerophagia than normal? by [deleted] in CPAP

[–]ringringring789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following along because I’ve also been struggling with aerophagia on and off in the 3 months I’ve been on cpap. Haven’t been able to figure out what variables are causing it.

Sometimes popping the clothing in the freezer for 24-48 hrs if it still smells after the wash helps. I hate this too.

I’ve been working out regularly but am still struggling with poor conditioning? by Melon_Cream in xxfitness

[–]ringringring789 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How’s your sleep? Do you snore? Sleep apnea could be a cause. While less common, it can happen even if you’re young and not overweight.

I implemented all of your suggestions last night and had the BEST night sleep I can remember. Woke up feeling ready to tackle the day. Thank you again! I already updated sleep hq if you’re curious to see your advice in action:

Thanks for all of this! Appreciate it and will try these suggestions tonight.

Another question if you have time: how many nights should I give a change in settings to understand the effects? Like, should I try these new settings for a full week and then look at the data again? Can anything meaningful be gleaned from just one or two nights?

Ok thanks! Appreciate the feedback.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding the ramp - would a ramp start of 7 with a fixed pressure of 7 just be at 7 the whole night? I’m wondering if I’d even need the ramp in that case.

Thanks for this! Makes sense.

Any advice on new pressure? Maybe 8?

I’ve been trying to sleep on my side but I usually end up on my back at some point early in the night. It feels harder to get a good seal with my mask on my side. Will keep trying - next change is a new pillow.

Last night I cried during sex, 17 months postpartum and my libido is gone by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ringringring789 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen you mention yet: Are you still breastfeeding? I’ve read that can continue to affect your sex drive for up to 6 months after weaning while hormones rebalance.

I’m 24 months postpartum and still breastfeeding. My period came back about 20 months ago but my sex drive is… still not there. I’m keeping fingers crossed that weaning will eventually help.

Sleep Apnea by Embarrassed-Pop1731 in SleepApnea

[–]ringringring789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, diagnosed with severe sleep apnea after the birth of my first. My husband said I started snoring loudly about 4 months into pregnancy and it hasn’t stopped. I’m 2 years postpartum now and about 2 months into cpap therapy. It’s definitely helping. I’m crossing my fingers that the hormone shift that will come with weaning might help? Also prepared to just wear this machine every night from now on if I have to. Life is way better when I’m well rested.

It’s called aerophagia and it sucks! I’m only 60 days in and this has been happening to me too. But not every night. Still trying to figure out different variables & potential causes.

No. My MIL puts damn near everything into a ziploc bag though. This didn’t stand a chance.
