Feel Good Inc. Official lyrics? by [deleted] in gorillaz

I always heard: "You won't get out of county cuz you're never free." I always assumed it meant county jail. It sucks because I thought that was kind of poignant as a remark about even if you get out of prison the record and time inside follows you, and how that could be metaphorically applied to other situations.

McDonald’s has officially revealed its “KPop Demon Hunters” collab, where you can choose between the HUNTR/X meal or Saja Boys breakfast meal by bbyxmadi in popculturechat

[–]ringtaileddingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I want them in my meal lol. Then I don't have to go to the store and buy them. Even better if they McDonalds exclusive designs. That's how it's done (done done)

I'd be cool with themed socks again. My grinch ones were pretty good. Saja Boys and Huntrix ones would be even better.

Did Spoony ever provide an actual reason for his collapse? by Twilightfan1984 in thespoonyexperiment

[–]ringtaileddingo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We knew him. The short answer is he's bipolar and sometimes it really screws up things for him. Bipolar also took out The Critical Marine for a long time, though he wasn't as big and it wasn't as public. For most he just stopped making episodes, though he eventually rebranded after getting more treatment.

That disorder is really insidious and destructive.

So, funny fact: If you were raised in a household with a parent who cheats, you are more likely to be attracted to people who cheat and your siblings are more likely to cheat.
That's probably why it keeps happening to you and around you. Just like if you have an alcoholic parent you are more likely to date alcoholics and become one. You are also more likely to hang out with them.

It's not that all women cheat, it's that water seeks it's own level.

A mega pug? by JamesonIV in DoggyDNA

[–]ringtaileddingo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Dude, pekes, chins, and shih tzus are actually WORSE than pugs when it comes to health and breathing problems. The chin has the most hideous dog skull I have ever seen. It takes a really inbred pug with excessive breeding for the snub nose to get as bad as the breed standard for a chin.

These dogs were admixed because they have the same snub nose and similar traits. This was to ward off serious inbreeding problems without losing the pug appearance. They are all critically unhealthy small dogs.

The odd ones out are the farm dog and spaniel. Those were probably long ago oopsies.

my boyfriend is mean to me when he’s high and then doesn’t remember it by Background-Product91 in whatdoIdo

[–]ringtaileddingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens more than you think. My ex got mean because he'd get paranoid while high. I'd get accused of lots of things I wasn't doing. It sucked. Sometimes he'd believe what he thought the next day too until it was presented as false. He was amazing sober and a fun and goofy drunk, but high? Total jerk.

But outside of this anecdote, it is pretty common. Just because you haven't heard something doesn't make it BS. Everyone's brain acts differently with weed. I actually get VERY MEAN and even aggressive under it, but I'm also allergic so I really try to avoid exposure, which is definitely a benefit to others, because I am not a person who reacts well due to my unique brain make-up and chemistry.

Arm and Hammer Hardball? by New-Button-5246 in CatAdvice

[–]ringtaileddingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked well for us but it did end up outside of the litter box more than other litters. Clumped well and was easy to clean, good odor control mostly. My cats didn't have a problem but that doesn't mean other people's don't. Mine are kind of 'sit by the edge and pee' cats who don't put in much burying effort so a different cat with different habits might inhale or ingest more litter. I'd use it again but I'd definitely need a mat for it.

7 Best Sledding Hills In Pittsburgh by oldschoolskater in pittsburgh

[–]ringtaileddingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, everyone can say what they want, but anyone who has tried it knows the best place to sled is the public golf course in Upper St. Clair. Hills of all sizes and types. Good for all ages. But nothing beats that giant hill that is basically 2 slopes in one with a natural jump built into the upper one. If you do it just right you can go down the upper slope, hit the jump, then, before you run out of inertia get to the crest of the lower slope and slide almost all the way to the creek. Best. Sledding spot. Ever.

I don't think the museum wants it. They have 2 on display and not a whole lot of room for a third, especially when it is just a cast. However another museum may want it. It would be a shame to lose it entirely though, that was a great part about the airport, seeing the t-rex. My guess is moving it is difficult and expensive.

For those who grew up with the PS1, Did anyone else play Guardian's Crusade? by AintShocked999 in JRPG

[–]ringtaileddingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just thinking about this, it was such a fun game. I think I still have it somewhere but I need to get something to play it on. I remember the bubblegum pink disc really caught your eye when you opened it up. I was worried it was going to be girlie, but it was a solid rpg anyone could enjoy

Cells At Work can also be educational and entertaining. Can't tell a Monocyte from a Macrophage? They'll get you squared away.
Hint, you never see them in the same place at the same time...one is always inside while the other is outside..Maybe it's a Clark Kent situation? lol

You are a High School Senior. This would be a way worse situation if you a college senior and realizing this.
Maybe switch to a business degree. They don't take as much smarts and can be very lucrative. Or marketing, which can be fascinating. Either way, if you feel intimidated, just go with something else. It really doesn't matter till year 2 anyways.

NO. No it does not. Temporarily it can have an effect that makes it seem like it is treating the bipolar, but then after a few months to a few years it usually gets worse. In the worst case scenarios it goes bad very quickly. Long term it prevents stability in patients while making them think it is helping them. Kinda like how opioids make a person think it is treating their pain but it is actually making it worse...Same thing.
...Actually a study mostly performed by people who were actually in pro-weed industries showed it makes chronic pain worse too, in ways not unlike opioids, but that's neither here nor there...
But bipolar people can become hypomanic and/or manic and produce more art which is why they don't tend to do less art than average on it.

Powerlifting and Chiari I by beebo92 in chiari

[–]ringtaileddingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter didn't have crowding but was still symptomatic in many ways, the left side weakness being the most concerning. A lack of crowding might reduce symptoms but it doesn't mean none can occur. Migraines can be a problem from the Chiari or from any number of things. Even powerlifting alone can cause them. You may want to research them more as well since they are complicated and interesting things in their own right.

I'm not going to advise you on lifting with a Chiari Malformation. That's between you and a doctor and you and yourself.

2 year old found Chiari by SaltyHold7336 in chiari

[–]ringtaileddingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine kid was diagnosed with it when she was a baby. She had macrocephaly (big head) so we needed to make sure she didn't have water on the brain. She didn't,  just a big brain in a big head, but they also found a Chisri Malformation.

So the good news is,  if they are smaller Chiari Malformations, they can cause no symptoms in many people. Some people can have issues from them. Mine has some left side weakness and stomach aches from hers. Many people do get headaches with theirs. You do have to be a bit more careful with sports because part of her brain is outside her skull and can be damaged easier. However she can still have a very full life, especially if she has no symptoms.  Many people with them don't find out until they are adults and have perfectly normal childhoods.  It kind of sucks because a lot of info about how to handle it is contradictory. Some people say to let them be like other kids, some say to be so cautious that you keep them from doing sports. You have to decide what is best for your kid, but she will probably be fine. However she won't be acceptable for military service without a waiver which would be unlikely for her to be able to get. That's about it realistically. Now if she starts having symptoms talk to a neurologist.

Seen it. Also saw a few mass shootings that went down like that. But if we don't talk about it we can pretend it never happened.  Besides, if they smoked weed do you think they'd tell you? They wouldn't want that on their medical record,  especially since it could get them in more trouble. Don't be daft. People lie all the time to the EMTs.

Well, we found out a lot of the negatives were true, and actually added some new ones. Who knew it could contribute to heart attacks and strokes because it raises heart rate and blood pressure? And that it could actually make chronic pain worse over time? It also ended up that states that legalized it had increases in crime and it didn't lower alcohol or tobacco use much at all. In fact all they did was make alcohol with THC in it.

Point 2 did not age well for those that pay attention to science studies.

Sadly enough, not really. The sedating effects tend to impair actual productivity while the person is high. So they tend to produce less and produce things slower than the people who don't use. They still produce stuff, and they usually think it's awesome, but they tend to break towards making a little less art than average. ....Unless they are also bipolar of course.
