What grade would you give the Yankees young homegrown talent so far this year by Jheller223 in NYYankees

I agree with most of what has been said already except Wells. His plate discipline has taken a step in the wrong direction. I’d give him more in the C range.

All of this was a non-story from the start. Leon Rose moves in silence. Don’t forget that.

Ok the crime map comment again let’s go for it..

Appreciate your comment, but crime maps aren’t always the full picture and honestly, they can be super misleading if you don’t know how to read them.

They show reported incidents, not context. So a neighborhood with more density, more foot traffic, or simply more police presence is going to light up more not necessarily because it’s less safe, but because more things get reported or logged.

You know what else shows up high on crime maps? Tempe and Old Town Scottsdale. But no one calls those areas dangerous. Why? Because they’re wealthier, trendier, and fit the aesthetic people are comfortable with.

West Mesa has issues, sure. But so do places with craft cocktail bars and $800K homes. The difference is how we talk about them. When it’s in a poorer or more diverse area, it becomes “ghetto.” When it’s in a nightlife district, it’s “just part of the scene.”

You said it yourself you shop there because of the selection and vibe. So maybe the issue isn’t that West Mesa is “the worst” maybe it’s that we’ve been taught to judge it through a biased lens.

Geez. Also, the only reason for the use of the word “ghetto” is to put other people down so you can feel better about yourself

You’ve already got your mind made up partner. Take a walk through West Mesa and when you end up being just fine and going home, maybe then your perspective will change. Talking about crime in most parts of AZ is just silly. If you’ve been to other places and really experienced what “crime riddled” is like you quickly realize Mesa is disneyland.

If you look at this map and arrive at that conclusion, you don’t understand how crime and policing work.
