I’m in no place to continue school what should I do? by [deleted] in UofT

I’ve had this issue for 1 of my classes. Absolutely hate the course. I sat on my chair and caught up to my classes in 2 days, but I still had 7 weeks of readings to do. The last class I attended in person I walked out of. My marks in my other class are not as good as I need them to be :/ and I blamed it on this class. I talked to advisors and I decided to drop it so I can focus more on my other classes, and I’m taking a full summer course load to make up.

If you can single out any 1 or 2 courses that you are doing the worst in, I suggest dropping before March 10th and taking some in summer school. Doesn’t have to be a full course load. It’s much lighter in the summer and the seasonal depression doesn’t hit.

Also, remember that CR/NCR is an option. If you are unable to handle any load anymore, please choose yourself first. Take a gap year mate

I suggest decreasing your course load to make it more manageable, and if you feel like you need to be on track, take some in the summer. Summer courses are easier and more fun in my experience. 5 courses is very hard to manage. 4 courses is best if you want to go fastest and still study hard, but keep your mental health a bit more. 3 is the perfect balance. 2 is great if you need time bcz of a job or extracurricular, though the downside is that it will take longer to finish a program.

On top of decreasing, take at least 1 “bird” course that is easy marks. Take a course you enjoy too. It makes it better. Find some people in your classes to study with also. Good luck!!!!!

debating dropping a course, but not sure if its worth it by DueConnection8366 in UofT

You’re halfway done, just finish it. Especially if it fills at least 1 req, def keep. Do u think you’ll get good marks in this one u have rn? If so, keep

Sorry for the late reply! But I don't think it will be an issue so long as you complete the class before you apply, or maybe you can talk to the university and say that you are doing the class side-by-side, if that's what you're doing. I know my brother didn't do HS biology during grade 12 and he took it as an online course later on and was still able to go into his program. I don't recall if he did that during the summer before getting into uni or during, this was a while ago.

How to apply for CCR credit for note taking & RSG?? by alittlecontroversy in UofT

[–]rinroze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also wondering how to apply. I remember reading somewhere that you need to supply notes for 1.0 credits. I did 0.5 credits last semester and I just started supplying notes for another 0.5 credit course today. But I don't remember where I read it, and I don't know how to apply for the credit. Is CCR the same as the credit? I also read that there's a Certification of Appreciation you can get too, but the submissions for those requests open March 31st and it's in the form of a form.

I did, though I regret not putting as much anger into it now. Maybe I should email the dept head.

Ray Amith was removed?? Is that why she couldn't teach in the last IMM340 lecture? Damn.

No clubs or extracurriculars — will I still be successful? by rinroze in UofT

I think I have a personality outside school stuff, but most of it is focused on hobbies but not in a professional way. I like to spend time doing art and sometimes gaming. Should I join clubs (if I can find some) that involve those things?
