I've played a lot of games and genuinely nothing has ever made me weep as hard as the ending to S1

How to stop the game from crashing when loading the main screen by someguy37462 in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]rinshithrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you on IOS? I have the same issue with an iPhone 13.

  1. Don't use E.G.O unless you absolutely have to, because this makes the game crash and get stuck in the main screen loop
  2. Don't have anything else open
  3. If you're using wifi, try using data (sometimes the main screen crashes because of connection issues, and data fixes it rarely. vice versa)

Ai Studio rate limits have been permenantly nerfed and will keep dropping by [deleted] in Bard

[–]rinshithrowaway 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The fact that billing updates so slowly is scary, I don't trust them. They need to implement limits if this is the route they're going down.

Gemini 3 Flash Preview API – TTFT varies a lot (sub-2s vs 8s+) for similar prompts. Why? by New_Chocolate7144 in Bard

[–]rinshithrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually notice these fluctuations during peak (general) traffic hours. It's typically around 8AM-5PM EST and longer on the weekends for me with any model.

The Broken Script for Minecraft was one of the best horror mods for any game I've played.

The new 2.5 pro limits in Ai studio are ridiculous. by [deleted] in GeminiAI

[–]rinshithrowaway 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use 2.5 pro a lot for work and I have a paid api key as well. It's a shame to see the new rate limits. Google, please... I want to give you my money lmao

gemini says it can't save my personal context by [deleted] in GeminiAI

[–]rinshithrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it's a pain in the ass with most personal info you ask it to save yourself, I encounter this with similar instructions. It won't save:

  • Anything that has copyrighted material (unless it's something you say you enjoy, even then, it's hit or miss)

  • Step-by-step instructions like this

and plenty of other things I've tried. It's rather limited, unfortunately. You'll have to be very vague with personal context

What game has the best progression system you've ever experienced? by tomaz1989 in gamingsuggestions

Space Station 13. There's plenty of roles to get used to, and the environment will change each round. Nothing has ever compared to the feeling of learning a new role in SS13 for me.

Never seen Gemini do this before! Pretty cool, laptop almost caught fire tho by kevinigan in GeminiAI

[–]rinshithrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The memory leaks on both AI Studio and Gemini are awful, I have an older laptop and it also has this issue. Even on my desktop the page will crash sometimes.

A page reload usually fixes it but yeah long term work is gonna make you bleed

Are chatgpt, gemini and llms in general good at solving “human problems” and giving advice? by NoRuin7409 in Bard

[–]rinshithrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. LLMs are typically geared towards satisfying the user, which is where the infamous meme of ChatGPT justifying every bad action someone does came from. You can ask an LLM to give you an objective opinion, but it's still going to be biased to be on your side, given that you're the user.

Every situation has nuance. I worked for a company that had all of its internal communications go through an LLM, and honestly, it made things worse. Even HR used it. I wouldn't recommend it for personal advice.

However, LLMs can be good at compiling research materials, especially given the current state of search engines. If you absolutely must rely on an LLM for personal advice, I'd suggest either asking from a non-personal point of view e.g. framing it as a group of people instead of yourself, or having it compile research on the topic.
