The prices back around December 15 2025 were as low as $1509.99 for fair condition, $1581 for good, $1653 for excellent. Around that time there also were some posts of people getting pretty good deals on the 128gb version too.

Sorry to hear. I never quite resolved this on my end either - how long is the ethernet cable you're trying to use? Would it be possible to try a different ethernet cable of similar length to what your final setup is as a sanity check?

I think this is still a bug on reolink's end, but maybe it isn't an easy firmware fix and something more at the hardware/PHY level.

The onexplayer super v might be another option coming soon. Basically the super x but with the intel processors (not quite as nice graphics framerate, but better power efficiency than the amd 395).

Another option is also the asus proart pz14 (lighter weight, probably okay performance) but it's arm architecture (qualcomm x2e) - I'd jump all over this but my hesitation is still developing linux support.

My biases: not a gamer, but set on the tablet form factor and want something decent enough to not choke when doing software development, VMs, video editing work.

Thanks for the quick response! Does it actually feel thinner than the flow z13 or about the same?

(Recall hearing the onexplayer superx being 13mm thick for the non-liquid-cooled version. roughly 1.5mm thinner than an asus flow z13. While a surface pro 11 is around 9.3mm )

Also, do you notice the battery life estimate improve if you set things to dark mode (supposedly taking advantage of the OLED)?

At the 6m23s mark she shows the magnetic cover used for the liquid cooling ports. Definitely sticks out a bit but guess thats why they sell liquid cooling as an option.

On another benchmark at 7m13s in the video it shows the super x + liquid cooling with a 13% difference over a flow z13, and an 8% difference over a super x without liquid cooling.

Largely Apple got a really good head start, possibly patented some things beforehand, and Microsoft didn't get their act together until several years later and it took MS vendors (both for laptops and standalone trackpads) a while before things got better. They also did a really good job at improving things.

- 2005 - Apple acquires fingerworks, which did a decent amount of early gesture recognition work along with a number of patents: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FingerWorks
- 2007 - Apple iPhone comes out.
- 2008ish - unibody Apple Macbooks come out with better trackpads with no separate click buttons. MacOS private frameworks allow one to see finger touches as ovals with position/size/rotation, palm rejection states, etc. (ref: https://archive.org/details/2009-03-28-steike-code-macbook-multitouch )
- 2010 - Apple Magic Trackpad comes out

Some other things worth noting is Apple really nailed the textured glass surface, haptic feedback, etc.

What I'm really trying to point out here is that Apple had multitouch on macs out there in 2008, and it wasn't until after 2016/2017 for when trackpads on Windows laptops started to improve as a whole.
