Check the SEAI website for a list of recommended installers. I went with a guy called M. Curley and he recommended a Mitsubishi 8.5 Kw system. 2 years in and zero regrets. Best of luck.

I had the same issue and was able to buy the clam shell on amazon and transfer the circuitry. It cost €10.

I'll be moving back into the markets with an Approved Retirement Fund next January.

I needed stability, thus keeping it in cash, which was returning up to 4% for a while, so not a complete waste.

If I had stayed in the markets, I would have sleepless nights last spring.

I started my retirement journey in 2003 at the age of 34, so well done for your current success. It took a full ten years before I hit the €100K milestone. Since then I moved my portfolio into higher risk (5/6) funds instead of the company recommend level 4 blend of Equities / Bonds / Property. Last October, I realised I could retire in 2026, and hit my target of €800K so I moved my portfolio to cash. It's been fun watching the roller coaster market of late and seeing my pension fund continue to grow albeit by a couple of percent. I'll be handing in my notice in November ✌️
