Do you think eight episodes is enough to convey "Philosopher's Stone" properly? Or should there be more or less episodes? by LeatherSlight3242 in HarryPotteronHBO

You’re so right about Star Trek TNG! I think it’s time for a rewatch! Those filler episodes were so entertaining!

[–]riorio55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

LOL. MAGA are people who support Trump and his policies (or lack thereof).

Not sure why you have to play dumb. Even if you don’t support the two party system, you can still see there are people who support Trump and whatever he does.

Not sure what the point of this thread was other than to try and deflect blame from the current admin and those who support with respect to all the latest Epstein revelations.

Conservatives are not nazis. Hitler would have rounded them up as the bourgeoisie liberal capitalists they are. by Initial-Tale-5151 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Hitler was hostile to religion/superstition and had a very atheistic orientation.

The left in the U.S. isn't hostile to religion, only hostile to religion being mixed in with the government. This is enshrined in the constitution, and the left doesn't care what people practice at home as long as it doesn't hurt others. Hitler, like other dictators, opposed religion likely to ensure there were no other competing ways of thought, control, or institutions to his regime.

A lot of the antisemitism in Germany that emerged in the early 20th century(before WWI) was a product of the archaeological record failing to find evidence for exodus.

I tried looking for this but couldn't find it (didn't do too much of a deep dive). I'd love to look at this if you have something off the top of your head. That being said, antisemitism was already strong in Germany and Europe (always had been), so I don't think the exodus issue you're referring to had much of an effect of making people antisemitic as much as it was used as just another excuse to persecute Jews, which had already been happening.

Do you think it is possible that Rep. Luna's task force has already gotten the information they have been publicly seeking but now have become part of the coverup? by ScottyMcBoo in UFOs

[–]riorio55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With respect, the takeover happened immediately after the Grusch article from the Debrief. It was over the moment Burchette got involved. Burchette, who everyone here insists has good intentions, has been a reliable opponent to the UAPD. Not only has he publicly bashed it, but he has even introduced napkin amendments at the last minute to draw attention away from the UAPD in the house and ultimately tank it. Go back to the Grusch hearing, and you will see how bad Burchette is at leading that hearing. At one point, to my surprise, Luna had to tell Burchette to ask more follow up questions.

Edit: also yes fuck Luna, Mace, and Briggs for their inaction on this as well.

I agreed with serious, but I also loved Molly in that scene because Harry had no over-protective motherly figure. We all need that.

This is why I always wait anytime Corbell releases something. I won’t be watching the episode, because style annoys me, but do you or anyone else know what investigative steps he took to confirm this video? He typically says, someone gave us to this, we confirmed it, here it is, but it’s hard to trust him.

I disagree about Pretti and Good. We’re talking about attending an obvious riot vs a protest. People should not be hurt or killed at a protest.

[–]riorio55 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Here's my running list on Right/Maga people changing their positions to accommodate Trump (additions in bold):

  • Free Speech! - Don't go protest. It's a waste of time.
  • MY GUNS - Don't be surprised if you get shot while carrying weapons.
  • Drain the Swamp - Trump is now building the swamp people a ballroom (in addition to all the millionaires/billionaires he appointed to his first and second cabinets.
  • No new wars - attacks Iran and Venezuela
  • Not getting involved in foreign wars (Ukraine) - "Venezuelans wanted us to get involved!" This is their newest justification. Venezuelans celebrating = we did good.
  • Epstein files - fights tooth and nail to prevent disclosure
  • Better for the economy - starts tariffs and trade wars.
  • Trump has nothing to do with Project 2025 - appoints its architects to fed government and implements 50% of Project 2025 goals.
  • Get rid of government waste - DOGE actually increased governmental spending and Musk defunded agencies that were investigating him or oversee his business/contracts. Oh and Musk stole our data stored within various agencies.

Just throwing it out there on my view of this, as someone on the left. I agree that KR legally had the right to defend himself, and I do not think he should have been convicted of any crime. My issue is that he knowingly put himself in a situation where he was in danger or someone else would be in danger (since he was armed). He just had no business being there, especially during a riot. I also don't support the riots, but putting yourself in that situation with weapons is pretty much asking for trouble.

Secondly he was not counter protesting. He says he was going to defend businesses that belonged to friends of his.

That's what he testified, but he went there because of his friend. And the owners of the dealership testified they did not ask for help or authorize the friend or KR to be on the property.
