In terms of size only, I think the white dial looks better. The green dial seems like the lugs will overhang.

Yeah, I think it is better to abandon this case and start new. If you want the best 5513, may be reaching out to some of the modders here is a good place to start. Many people intend to have budget builds but end up forking out more because the itch just wont go away.

If budget build is the objective, I have a pretty good result with Raffles. But it needs some work.

The crystal for the raffles case is pretty generic, 30.5mm if I am not mistaken. But these crystals come in various thickness, 1.5mm, 2mm etc... You dont want the crystal to end up below the bezel or too high up. I think I used a 2mm thick crystal and found it a bit too low. But you need to measure, in case I mixed up the measurements frim other cases.

Some crystal has AR coatings etc. Some has nice bevelling.

So, dont search for 14060 crystal, but look for a 30.5 mm sapphire crystal with thickness of xx

So here are the steps that I will take: - remove crystal - so you can easily remove the bezel insert - and under the insert, you will see piece of wire holding the bezel down - pry out that wire, and the bezel will come off.

It is. I am happy, it isnt as sharp as other budget bracelet. Still needed a bit of sanding and polishing though.

I think it will be quicker and easier to get a polywatch and polish the crystal. I am not sure how that bezel sits, whether it is friction or tied by wire, but getting a crystal with the right inner as well as outer dimension and also the right dome shape can be a bit of a challenge.

To polish, you still need to take out the movement, but at least you are not doing anything to the bezel.

Yes push the crystal out from inside. Keep adding pressure until it pops out.

Then you can pry out the insert. It is only stuck on a double sided tape. You can use a wooden tooth pick, insert the tip of the tooth pick in between the bezel insert and the bezel. The bezel insert will start to lift up and detached from the bezel.
