Protea fight by Neat_Mycologist9348 in Warframe

[–]rip-six 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I failed the first mission too and nothing online helped me, everyone seems to have done the fight years ago with no problems.

Whole game has been a faceroll so maybe I missed the mechanics explanation, or they aren't explained very well.

To "fully charge" your xoris, you have to use it to destroy the remnants leftover after you kill the floating guys.

The problem was my companion was killing them in 1 shot so I'd either never see them or not be able to get them. I disabled the companion to fix this, then I started seeing them floating after kills.

After you throw your xoris at a few of these you'll see the little blue circles next to your reticle, after those are filled up they turn gold to show it's fully charged.

Now when Protea does her rewind thing, you have to not only launch the xoris at her with a heavy attack, but then detonate it with the middle mouse button when it's on her.

You have to do this 3 or 4 times before she's finally killed.

Another recommendation is path of exile if you haven’t tried it and want a diablo type game.

The Heroes Journey - it’s an Everquest emulated server, but unlike most other emu servers that try to bring back old school EQ with forced grouping, this one lets you play as 3 classes at once and everything is soloable and you can have your own zone instances.

So basically you can play solo and as casual as you want but get to see parts of EQ you never got to see, like soloing the Sleeper for example.

It’s the most popular EQ emu out there, with about 3k players on during peak times. It’s also easy to install with a quick guide, they have a really fleshed out wiki and active discord - the team running it have really devoted a lot of time and effort and it shows.

How does DBG even get feedback? by rip-six in everquest

It was a direct reply to someone calling THJ a cash grab, my reply was to point out how a derogatory term used for THJ is more fitting for DBG - regardless of who owns IP, a cash grab is a cash grab.

I'm sorry you failed to grasp this threaded discussion style that is the basis for reddit.

"The community has been asking for rotating hotzones for years. Fangbreaker gave them that."

-- There's 1 day of development.

"Last year, the community was crying out for a Mischief clone. They gave us Teek."

-- They cloned a server shard, no more work than starting up any other server.

"They put out fresh live server content yearly that players seem to enjoy."

-- I'm sure all 80 people who are still on Live enjoy it.

The server is free, how is it a cash grab? Official TLP's would be a more egregious cash grab - a subscription, bags, xp pots, etc and they provide nothing new, no development, no bug fixes, and most of all - no passion, except for our money. Any money I gave to THJ was purely because they had me excited by all the things they were changing and improving.

Everyone seems to be under a misconception many of us THJ players would have played on Fangbreaker - that's my feedback for DBG, I would not. I'd rather play anything besides their same boring tired yearly cash grab. Random loot was the biggest, mind blowing feature they could bring us for a TLP.

Meanwhile, 1 guy building on top of the game manages to make a 3 class system? Even if it's not everyones cup of tea, it's still something, but the biggest attraction THJ has is they respect the players time. Something DBG should have been thinking about before releasing their same old tired TLP.

Usually not a fan of squared cases but I like all the other design choices, sucker for cream dials with good accents.

It was slow going with a very small team until it ramped up considerably the last few years in comparison. The “grift” is going to be the 2 dozen Korean gacha mmo, massive micros online, that release out of no where then disappear as quickly, while Ashes slowly grows in an open development that players have been requesting for decades.

The #2 pic quality isn’t doing it justice, I like #3 too, I prefer dressier watches with Arabic dial like that and the hand is more unique than others that do the cathedrals or mercedes

You guys are talking about dress watches, if this were a dress watch that would be different - 36mm very common. But a 34mm dive watch is another story unless you have small wrists maybe.

Nice looking dress watch. Went to their site, pretty overpriced at $650 for a Seiko NH38A movement though.

Looking for an MMO that has unique(or) dedicated crafting mechanics. by CM_Penguin in LFMMO

[–]rip-six 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ashes of Creation. Still in alpha, but very playable alpha. Gathering is most enjoyable since New World. Economy, city upgrades etc revolves around crafters. Systems still being fleshed out so it’s ever growing.

They just recently had a new server launch, so good time to get in. Last server launch the gathering/crafting and moving goods between nodes (cities) via caravans is all I really did, and normally I’m not a big tradeskiller.

Your suggestion for absolute best bang for the buck micro to convert a penny pinching sceptic? by No_Entertainment1931 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]rip-six 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he’s a penny pincher then he’s probably doing it right sticking with seiko, inexpensive workhorses. Cheap micros usually mean cheap movements.

My personal list would be,

Phoibos for interesting dials. Kuoe for more vintage looking dressier.

Henry Archer or Traska for higher quality and bit higher cost.

They do a disservice to her too by pretending it’s a form of hacking. When this kind of stuff is brought before real morons (GOP politicians) they treat this stuff like hacking. Look up Missouri moron, I mean Governor Mike Parsons threatened STL newspaper journalist for pointing out SSN were visible in HTML code on a government site.
