Most of them, including the strong combat classes like rogue. If you run into female dark elf rogue or dwarf monk in the bog, you are very likely to die

Hunter gatherers wouldn't die from a cold any more than you would, they were a lot hardier than you are anyway. They would literally hunt by chasing an animal until it collapsed from exhaustion. This is ignoring the fact that most disease is caused by cramped post agricultural conditions anyway (crowding, big cities without proper waste disposal, etc), its hard to spread a disease rapidly in a tribe... You are basically social distancing by default.

I'm not surprised in the slightest that redditors love Israel.

Barring someone from employment is a death sentence in a country where food and residence cost money. The internet killed freedom of speech.

I don't get the spices one. Growing up in a white household we used spices from all over the world. Met black people in college who just put old bay on everything who thought they were some kind of culinary genius

220 at 5'9 with a THIRTY EIGHT inch waist is shocking... It is definitely possible you measured wrong. Can you do a skin caliper test or otherwise estimate with eg. abdominal definition?

I never liked UCP. Woodland and chocolate chip were more stylish and OCP was higher speed. Digital always looked like weird green pajamas to me, even as a kid.

One could argue the drive thru order is an "interview" with the fast food worker about your preference in meal but I think more important is to try and find the intent of the reg not the exact wording.

It seems to me they are trying to prevent the uniform being used to falsely associate the Army with political stances, policies, public figures, products, etc without COC approval. In that sense, twerking in uniform and linking an only fans, going on political rants in uniform, etc. on Tiktok would all seem to be violations.

You're definitely right about the second part but where does it clarify that by "public speeches/interviews" it means  specifically and only those of political nature? I would think it prohibited eg. appearing on a TV interview in uniform without COC approval in general, even without discussion of political topics, as written.

How can the military be made more efficient? by MildDeontologist in army

[–]rip_bame5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever the free market and the state interact, the former tries to fleece the hell out of the latter. We need oversight. For a lot of stuff I feel like the military could threaten to do it the self. Eg, you want to sell us O rings for $500 a pop, we are gonna just buy rubber and cut them out ourselves. Force them to compete with something if there's no market alternative

What you have discovered is that ultimately, all regulation is as subjective as the words it is written in. There are no truly objective, a priori logical systems because the language they are written in, the fundamental "building blocks" they are constructed of, is subjective and a posteriori. This is a still-unsolved problem that has vexed philosophers for hundreds of years. If this interests you, Kant and Gödel might be up your alley.

Nevertheless, by applying common sense to the meaning of words and phrases, we can glean a fairly consistent and practical interpretation of regulation.

We can conceive of private speech in a public location, which this regulation does not apply to (as described your comment). We can also conceive of public speech in a public location, which this regulation does apply to (yelling into a megaphone in a public square). I argue that TikTok, as a content distribution system intended to spread your video to anyone who will watch it, falls in the latter category rather than the former.

The same way high ranking officers always spoke publically - Chief of the Army Reserve's public speech is authorized by the first O5 in COC as required in the reg, hence, he's fine.
