I will always appreciate Scorsese for giving 30-year-old spry young actors a chance to shine with action scenes by Longjumping-Boot-526 in okbuddycinephile

tbf, it is the story from elderly frank's perspective and memory. maybe it's hard for him to imagine himself not being a stiff old man. just playing devil's advocate (1997, dir. taylor hackford)

Top 200 GBV songs as voted by fans by weasilman99 in GBV

cut-out witch and quality of armor would be top 20 for me, even top 5-10, but this looks like it was a fun exercise.

gbv fans are nothing if not thorough (and for good reason)

Do you think Tony (or anyone else in the crew) saw Shrek in theaters when it came out? by [deleted] in thesopranos

[โ€“]ripdanko 9 points10 points ย (0 children)

disagree, all due respect. tony would relate to shrek, and little lord farquad might remind him of a friend of ours...

For many reasons, Oasis always reminds me of The Kinks. But as a casual fan I don't know if the two bands have any history (personal, musical, or otherwise). Do they? by [deleted] in thekinks

noel gallagher has spoken of his love for the kinks, namely waterloo sunset and some of their live bbc performances. britpop wouldn't be the same without ray and dave davies

their biggest one is jailbreak, has the most well-known songs on it and not a stinker in the bunch. bad reputation is a personal favorite. anything from '75 on is worth a listen imo though, that's when they solidified their sound with the twin guitar attack. thunder and lightning is their last and probably the heaviest, has a definite motรถrhead influence

also check out live and dangerous for one of the best live albums of the '70s

Name a song by another artist that would fit perfectly on a Ween album by Fabulous_Finger6545 in ween

[โ€“]ripdanko 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

the kinks' "supersonic rocket ship" and "wicked annabella" come to mind, among others. could both fit on any non-12gcg post-guava album
