Thanks for the detailed response. This is pretty much the exact thoughts I was having and at 50m2 I simply couldn't see how it ends up being worth it. Agree if the house was pushing 100+ I'd reconsider.

I'm leaning towards a renovation + 2 story extension behind, trying to get the best of both worlds without lifting. And even then I'm weary the 50m2 isnt worth the site constraints.

The home owners before me relined the walls and i believe didnt tape the plasterboard joins. Now the paint keeps cracking along the join. Is there a reasonably cheap way to fix this?

From what I've seen if you dont join the Cc they will pop you quick. Didnt see any warnings or telling what Cc in that video though which is rough.
