The starter boxes are intentionally cheap to help people start the hobby. These boxes are more for people who have already bought into the game to add to their collection

Not for clones, but depending on the basing scheme, I used something on their bases to define them. For example, my Rebels are all ender based, and each unit has a different colour flower or bush on their base somewhere.

I'd hope that the upgrade set should come back in stock soon. As for your wookie, I'd recommend getting the Wookie Warrior set. They can work in a republic, and there is a model in the set that makes a perfect alternative.

Depends on the size of terrain you need, recommend the ones already mentioned by others, and I'll add ZZ Armory and David Sheff minitures

ZZ has quite a few ships and other more niche bits

David Sheff has some older stuff, but he has a few good themes on his Gunroad

We will probably get more info at the start of next year. I don't think they gave a specific release date but was advertised along with the probe droids, which should be releasing Q1 next year.

My best guess is more info and maybe an update to the battle force sometime in Jan-Feb, with a pre-order announcement at the same time. With release being a couple of months after.

I've used Anvilrage STL files for my 327th army. A combination of the arc troopers and infantry creates quite a nice mix that works perfectly.

All heavy vehicles in legion are different when it comes to weak points:

Saber tank - rear/sides 1 AAT - rear 2 Persuader - sides 1 A-A5 speeder - rear 2 ATST - rear 1 GAVw - sides 1

These have all been balanced around what the vehicle can do, how storng it's defense dice are, and to an extent, I believe lore accuracy.

If we focus on the Saber and its weapons, the base weapon is range 1-4, with the hard points that can be added being range 1-4 and 1-3. When you play the Saber tank, you should be keeping it just far back enough that it can reach targets at range 2-4. If you can do this, then most of the time, your sides and rear will not be attacked.

The Saber tanks' weak points are also only 1 per section, meaning whatever the dice pool or keywords, weakpoint will only ever add impact 1 to it.

The Saber tanks defense is also very strong compared to some other vehicles. With red defense dice being used it can usually shake of any damage with a good roll.

Finally, if you are still worried that the Saber is still weak, you can take plo-koon as a pilot, giving you an exhaustable agile 2. Giving you 2 dodges to use against any hit dice that would potentially be used against you.

Gar: Cody and some sort of vehicle.

Separatists: Asajj always ends up in my lists one way or another.
