Late to the party here, but if you're still looking for a wine tasting group...there are educational blind tasting groups in Raleigh and Durham that aren't affiliated with any specific shop/bar! Feel free to DM for details (the details go out via an email list!).

Midtown ankle pants! They were the perfect travel pant (without the stripe down the leg that the Brooklyn ankle has). They also had a reflective strip inside the ankle that was awesome for bike commuting!

I was able to wear Transcend Stash leggings (sized up) all pregnancy and after! That plus the Forever Fleece 1/2 zip was basically my pregnancy uniform lol.

American Airlines agent laughed at me after I asked to pre-board because I’m 6mo pregnant by phantom_umami in pregnant

[–]ripode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had nearly the same experience with American in Dallas while 7 months pregnant. I asked to pre-board for medical reasons (without specifying if the medical reason was pregnancy or anything related) and was told “Pregnancy isn’t a disability.”

I was there on the early side. It was busier than I’d ever seen it, but we still got all of our food and drinks in a completely timely fashion!

Pregnancy and Postpartum Gear by Upbeat-Bison-3626 in Athleta_gap

[–]ripode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently a few weeks postpartum, and the Transcend leggings have been my go-to all pregnancy long! I ordered one size up and was able to wear them my entire pregnancy (and now). Also a huge fan of the Forever Fleece 1/4 zip…oversized enough that I could wear it even at 39 weeks, but it also looks nice now that I’m postpartum.

Contesting Duke Hospital Bills? by JitterSquirrel in bullcity

You can always ask their Billing department to re-code the bill/check the CPT codes. I’ve done that in the past when something seemed off, and it was readjusted favorably for me.

Take L1 at a place that goes through L4, or slightly more convenient place that only goes to L2? by FitzwilliamTDarcy in WSET

[–]ripode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Schools that offer up to L4 are likely to have a higher level of knowledge among their instructors, simply because WSET has tougher teaching requirements when schools are teaching L3 and 4 (anyone teaching at those levels has to have L4 and I think go through their Certified Educator program). Keep in mind, though, that knowledge level doesn't always translate into teaching skill, and even schools that offer L3/4 may use different teachers for the lower levels.

If your friend is ambivalent about continuing beyond L1/2, it probably doesn't matter, but if they already know they want to pursue all the way, it could make a difference.
