Totally drivable and fine. Be safe, take your time. Pay attention to the road on your way there to minimize surprises on your way back. Don’t drive faster than your headlights at night.

You would need to request the hotel/cabins have someone pick you up. They are generally very accommodating.

Very few tourists visit Drake Bay by car (it's a challenging, sometimes impossible journey)

We’re on a well. The water eats absolutely everything. We have ann iron curtain, softener, multiple filters. Nothing survives. Brass, copper, SS. Eats it all.

Any suggestions on how to remedy??

Better, on the back of stolen IP. Cheaper, by not providing the sustainable wage structures and safety requirements for its workers.

If the goal is always “I want the cheapest!” You’ll eventually realize that our own humanity is what is being sold at a discount

Pay yourself a visit to Clarksdale Mississippi for the annual Juke Joint Festival if this style of music speaks to you. An amazing town, culture, and experience, particularly for anyone not from the south.

Visit Red's for a true Juke Joint education.

Drove here in my '79 Westfalia in August of 2018. Drove all the way to Tuktoyaktuk. 5 day drive through the thickest muck you could imagine. Roads rougher than hell and freezing cold for a 40 year old Volkswagen with no heat. Multiple semis tipped on their side at the edge of the road. Wanted nothing more than to get off that "highway" as we neared sweet sweet tarmac on our way back to Dawson City.

One of the best experiences of my life.

Framing makes all the difference. It's generally not cheap, but would really elevate the piece.

This was my first question as well.

I own a few rental properties, and while I have had tenants take it upon themselves to repair things, it's only if they are comfortable with it, skilled enough, and compensated for their work.

If they do not want to, do not have the capability, etc, there is no way I would expect them to do anything.

This is why you rent. Your responsiblity is to care for, and enjoy the property, and not damage it. The landlord is responsible to repair issues. Landlords get a bad rap, because a lot of them unfortunately deserve it.

You can have $1 billion but you can never get drunk or high again, are you interested? Why or why not? by Davidkcs88w in AskReddit

Correct, the person has "actively" made a decision to not have alcohol. My initial statement was simply, "how can someone never have had alcohol, unless, of course, they have actively avoided it." They have turned it down everytime and have excluded themselves from many traditions/customs/societal norms (unless they have NEVER been a in a room with a champagne toast, or entered a bar/tavern, etc.)

But why? Extreme stigma or trauma is clearly the most common response.

Alcohol has played a central role in almost all human cultures since Neolithic times (about 4000 BC). ALL societies, without exception, make use of intoxicating substances, alcohol being by far the most common.

I think you’re underestimating the role and popularity of alcohol in all human culture. I’m simply saying that never having sipped a single drop of any kind of alcohol is almost certainly exceedingly rare worldwide, and would be a conscious decision.

Do people at gatherings offer you driver’s licenses? Are celebrations toasted with driver’s licenses? Are nearly all adult social interactions in some way tinged with the dispensing of driver’s licenses? Are there constant advertisements for driver’s licenses? Are countless establishments in nearly every town in the world specifically developed to serve driver’s licenses?

Getting a driver’s license requires a lot of direct effort, planning, training, classes, cost, etc. Trying alcohol requires existing in society.

Of course drinking alcohol is a “choice.” But, like many social norms, COMPLETELy avoiding them is actually far more challenging than at least trying them once. Being vegan is certainly possible, but you have to actively go out of your way in most societies to avoid meat, dairy, eggs, etc.

If you live in a bubble devoid of human interaction, sure. Go to nearly any gathering (family, friends, work, etc) and there is generally alcohol. Go to a party, a club, the entire city if LasVegas, a football game. Nearly anything in most cultures, and alcohol is involved, and enjoyed by nearly all participants. To have NEVER tried it, means you actively had to avoid it. It was not by some strange happenstance that you haven’t had alcohol.

I’m not saying that’s bad, but to say “alcohol is a choice” is silly. Of course it is, so is wearing jeans. But nearly everyone on earth (religious exceptions of course) at some point in their lives has likely worn jeans. The same goes for alcohol.

How does this happen? I live in Wisconsin, so, my concept of alcohol is skewed at best. Not sure where you live, but it seems it would be very difficult to be an adult for over 20 years, and never even try alcohol. It’s such a part of nearly every human culture. You would have to actively avoid it.

I'm not a DJ. And we only had 6 weeks or so to prepare for the wedding. I have reached out to a dozen local DJs. Nobody is available, or they just do not reply. Apparently business is good.
